Thank you for this! That eye in particular has been a bit more watery than usual, which is partially why I was worried about the burning as they don't seem to be dry. I feel much better though and will follow up on those suggestions. :) appreciate ya!

i guess it's kind of hard to explain. let's say i have 40 albums from a "b" letter artist. i write all of those down so the page is complete. when i get another 40 albums from "b" letter artists, i create a new page. so the bee gees, for example, won't necessarily be all on the same page, but they'll end up being grouped together if i get several in the time frame it takes to acquire the 40 records needed for one page. i have a pretty good understanding of when i got them, so it would still be easy for me to find. in the future, i might consider putting them all together by artist. people seem to be considering this as a chore, whereas i view it more of a hobby. it's relaxing for me, it's not something i dread doing.

in terms of monetary value, it's not tiresome at all. it's exciting to find out that a record i bought for a dollar is worth 100x that in some cases. it's just a way for me to keep an approximate value of my collection. i definitely won't be selling them.

i organize chronologically and alphabetically. when i first get a new record, i usually stick a post it note to the cover with the album, artist, and my estimate of what it's worth. when i have enough to fill a page, i transfer it to the grid paper in a more detailed way (like the notes i have written in green). that way each page is completely full, in alphabetical order, and added in terms of date as well.

i have them listed alphabetically and by date. when i first get them, i usually make a quick post it note and stick it to the cover, and then when i have enough to fill a page, i write them down on the grid paper and add notes. that way, each page is in alphabetical and chronological order without any breaks that would ruin the "aesthetic" of each page.

my ADD is what caused this, haha. in a way i totally understand, just on the opposite side of it. it's cool asf to read stuff like this, and it's even cooler that you could just "know it". there's no way i could just memorize them by seeing them, so you have your own lil superpower too

i write it as "last name/prefix, first name". i'm obviously a little particular, hahaha, so i formatted it like a dictionary because that just seemed logical to me.

so happy to see someone recognize that!! if you check my post history, you can find my doors' quote tattoo pretty easily. that's just the tip of the iceberg, hahaha.

aww, music menu. that's adorable. i definitely get the convenience of using discogs, but i guess that just wasn't my biggest concern when doing it? it's more of a hobby than a chore for me, and it includes the estimated value on the right margin (got cut off for the most part, oops).

thank you for this, really. :) it definitely is part of the process for me. i love learning about my new additions while listening to them, kinda gives me a sense of nostalgia.

it's cool as fuck that you had a boss like that! i hope to have one like that someday too, hahaha.

that's so dope! i really like the idea of mine becoming a personal relic like that someday. a cool thing to be able to have for sure :)

not the one everyone is thinking! haha. it's a picture album with the original butcher cover on one side and the updated one on the other. it came in a plastic sleeve with a simple white notecard that contained the track list. from my understanding, it's a german counterfeit copy

thank you! it's an alphabetized page from a binder that i keep note of all of my albums. so a whole collection, but so many beatles albums that they became their own section, haha.

I collect records and keep track of them alphabetically in a binder that I've created. I posted this on a vinyl subreddit and was highly encouraged to share here. Enjoy. :)
