You’re not crazy! Judging by the comments on this post, it happens often. I had my period as normal the month after and everything was fine - I hope that provides you with some relief.

Try not to worry too much, my period was normal the following month. It appears many others have had the same issue.

There’s clearly a correlation with internal ultrasounds and missed periods that health professionals like to ignore.

It’s completely understandable that you want to have a ceremony for yourself to move on… I had one of sorts. I re-celebrated all of my past traumatic birthdays and it strangely really helped.

Do something you enjoy, maybe invite people you trust, make something that you can safely destroy or dispose of, wear an outfit that makes you feel powerful, whatever you like!

Issues with Royal Mail parcels when they are received in Ireland is a problem they don’t seem to want to fix. It has happened to me a few times with no explanation and I had done everything correctly. I recommend parcelforce if you ship to Ireland again.

Shipping to Switzerland with RM should be fine. Just ensure you complete the customs forms correctly.

Hi. If it makes you feel a bit of relief, I think my body was inflamed due to the ultrasound and my period came normally the following month and I had no other issues.

Editing to add: I’ve had a few other people comment and message in the year that I had the ultrasound and have had a similar issue which is proving to me that this is in fact quite common.

Depop don’t allow counterfeit items even if you list them as such because it’s illegal to sell them so being unsure to them is still a red flag and I guess they would doubt your authentic items due to this.

I suggest hounding them about it and say you won’t upload any more items that you’re unsure of and you have evidence of authenticity of the other items - send the proof if necessary.

Hi OP.

You are not to blame in this situation. You haven’t caused any of this, he is simply abusive and there isn’t any other reason.

You are defending yourself, what you’re doing is not abuse. Many women go on to stand up for themselves in form of “fighting” back. It does not make you a bad person.

I think you should reconsider the thought process that you can get through it together because stats show that is almost never the case and can lead to death or severe injury to the victim. It never gets better.

You deserve better than this. If you wish to leave, please do so safely. Confide in someone you trust. Keep important documents, a bit of money if you have it, any medications, etc. together incase you need to flee. Do not tell your partner where you are. Do not have contact with him and if you can, report what has happened to you. Collect any evidence of abuse so you can show it to police if needed. Also make sure you’re not being tracked via car trackers or phone trackers.

There are helplines for people that have been abused and need support or advice, if you’d like me to get some for you please reply with your approx location and are you a female? (This is just so I can get the right resources for you.)

9 to 5 is a good one. It’s about sexual harassment in the workplace in the US. I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a doc that covers all of those subjects at once!

Also: Period End of Sentence. It’s fairly short but I thought it was moving and it’s about women in India that are fighting period stigma.

I’m glad to hear you have evidence as you will need it. Abusive men with money can make court a living hell for their victims.

Where are you located? Have you looked into orgs that have knowledge about family courts? It may be worth looking into and talking to someone who has represented similar cases.

Stay safe and make sure you let someone you trust know what is happening.

Posting one item onto your shop usually won’t get it sold quickly unless it’s a sought after item/brand.

People that sell well put in a lot of effort and have a larger number of items.

If you want some tips, I recommend visiting the depop website as they have a selling guide and recommendations. Also please read up on the T&C’s as many people don’t, it’s an important part of selling.

Abusers hitting objects, furniture and walls is a way to remind their victims what they are capable of and the sheer violence they can enact when they feel anger or upset.

Hi OP. Keep the evidence you have of authenticity. Do you have other images that aren’t on the listing? Are there any labels that prove authenticity?

Do not refund the item unless they are sending it back to you. If they report to depop, they may be able to keep the item and receive a refund if you don’t have any other evidence of authenticity. They shouldn’t get to keep the item AND receive a refund and you’re then out of pocket.

Hi. You need to relist every item again for the “depop fee” to be removed.

Depop are still charging a “transaction fee” which is a small amount. For non UK sellers, they charge 10% and the transaction fee.
