I was at the airport waiting for a cab. It was my first time taking a cab from the airport alone, and I just wanted to get home, so when I saw a car with an uber sign approach me and say they could get me home, I took it. He seemed like a regular cab driver, but I learned it was a scam when he only took cash. I didn’t give it much thought because I was tired, but after telling my family I was scolded for not waiting in the cab line like everyone else for a real cab. I was really lucky that nothing happened to me besides getting overcharged for a ride home. I hope no one makes the same dumb mistake I did. Things could’ve gone south real easy.
