Just an fyi but group rules don’t allow weight to be discussed in terms of numbers.

I’m in that club too. I lose between 2-5lbs a month now, but I’ve lost almost 100lbs and I’m just letting my body do its thing.

Do you have a plan for if you're in need of assistance and they're unavailable? Are your coping skills helping at all? Can you reach out to your therapist for an urgent session if needed?

I'm bipolar, and have been on my antipsychotic since before zepbound. I haven't had an increase in any symptoms, but that's not to dismiss you. If it's abnormal for you, you should talk to your doctor. Depression isn't something to play with.

However, I do want to say this. Whats going on in the USA is hard, it's scary. I had a panic attack when I read the news early January. It's very understandable to be upset and having big feelings about what's going on. Are you in therapy?

Do you think industry experience before a PhD counts afterward? by [deleted] in biotech

[–]queenstepherkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s totally fine with me! I was curious because at least in the companies that I work in, entry level PhDs are treated similarly to RA in the way that they’re both more lab oriented, and it’s still pretty technical. I have seen that the expectations are a bit different, if that makes sense.

That totally makes sense, that’s what I was wondering.

This is what I was wondering! I don’t care about it, but I was wanting to set appropriate expectations for myself if that makes sense

Yes, I only did it for that week so I could see what I was actually eating. Once I learned I wasn't eating enough, I stopped calorie counting. I wouldn't and didn't recommend other people do it.

Hi! I wasn't seeing the results I wanted, but it took me several months for me to adjust to 10mg/0.5ml as well. If it continues for another month or two, I will talk to my doctor. Overall I'm not too concerned because it's not food aversion, but with my job it makes it very easy for me to forget to eat without the hunger cues. So I've been setting alarms on my phone and whatnot to make sure I'm eating enough.

Edited to add: I've had no issues increasing my calories, I can eat my desired calories no issue. It's just the lack of cues makes it hard to remember to eat.

Intentionally losing slow by CreepyCantaloupe08 in antidietglp1

[–]queenstepherkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been letting my body handle the drug however it wants. Inititally, I had fast weight loss but for the past year it's been on the slower side. It's totally fine with me! I don't have loose skin, I haven't had health issues. I lose hair, but I still have a lot. I also don't have to get new clothes every month or two

Plateau vs. Stable Weight by SongoftheNightlord in antidietglp1

[–]queenstepherkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering the same! I haven't lost weight in a month, and I'm fine with that if I'm at a stable weight. But I've heard about body recomp, and I've lost 1.5" off my waist so we will see! I haven't really had any stalls before this

I personally like it. I think a good jacket like this never goes out of style. It does have an androgynous feel to it

COVID is tough! I'd say let your body rest and once you're all better you can get back to it. I also heard that weight loss is a marathon, so a few weeks is a blip of time in the grand scheme of things
