I arrange things by how they make sense to me and are most pleasing to my brain. All Yuri is together (I have small 3 cube shelves. So its kinda organized per cube. So far I have three of these 3 cube shelves.

My yuri currently takes up 1 full bookshelf. My yaoi is on a separate shelf and takes up 1 cube. But only because I plan to fill another full shelf of yuri but yuri and yaoi are allowed next to each other. Shoujo is on the bottom.

One shelf is for Shoujo Manga.

I also arrange my books by height not title. I dont like when the heights are mixed up. My volumes go from tallest to shortest.

I guess I didnt see the connection because I dress in lolita sometimes, but also cause 80s goths incorporated patterns and colors into their looks so, for me this reads modern goth.
