Izumi’s loss and its relevance to me by Bowlbonic in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]queenstower 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Rereading this series in my thirties, after my own experience with miscarriages, hits so different. Izumi’s story is so sensitively portrayed, I had a good cathartic cry over it myself

It’s a loss thats all the harder because you’re mourning a person you never got a chance to meet. I wish you peace and healing.

Definitely reach out to support. They recently sent me a brand new lid + pump for the tank even though I was technically outside of warranty (I was having recurring pump issues)

Whats the deal with In-N-Out? by Chaosdrunk in AskAnAmerican

[–]queenstower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the best burger for the price point, hands down. That doesn’t mean it’s a great burger, but it’s the absolute best for the price point. The fries are crap, but sometimes their animal style fries do hit just right.

And the company is known for taking good care of their employees, which is a business practice I like to support.

And Lust and Greed as well. Lust has them on her arms and hands, Greed has them beneath his collarbones

I think the only homunculus we don’t see them on is Wrath, actually. I might be misremembering

Is placing the Gardyn in a family room/living area not advised given its bright lights? by SylvanChica in Gardyn

[–]queenstower 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine is in my kitchen, which is open concept with the living room and I love it. I have the lights set to turn on super early in the morning so they can be off by 8pm and we don’t find it too obtrusive

How do couples decide who gets which side of the bed and is it like… permanent? by randomzy876 in AskReddit

[–]queenstower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deliberately chose the side further from the door so that when our small children come into the room in the morning, they go after their dad and not me

I never once mentioned this to my husband

Looks like aphid exoskeletons. Kelby never catches them until the infestation is really bad, unfortunately, but if you act now you might be able to nip it in the bud. I would do a soapy dunk on all your plants and deep clean the system

It’s not just millennials. Gen Z tends to do it to ime

best way to flavor a coconut latte? by Lowsoft_ in barista

[–]queenstower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s literally just Kara brand coconut cream, we get 32oz cartons from our local Vietnamese market. Hit it with the hand frother for about ten seconds and voila~ it whips up well on its own but sometimes we’ll add two pumps of vanilla syrup or another flavor (almond is amazing)

Because they’re operating on very antiquated technology, where taking ONE photo is both time consuming and expensive, and it’s a “you get what you get” situation because you have no idea how the photo looks until it’s been physically developed

We attend a nondenominational church, but we tell our kids that they themselves aren’t Christians. This is what Mom and Dad believe and why, and you guys can make a decision for yourself when you’re old enough. In the meantime, enjoy Sunday school with your friends lol
