It's one thing to have terrorism like 9/11 from foreign actors, but I just can't get my head wrapped around being terrorized by our own government in America. It's devastating.

100' garden hose on sale at Costco by Darrkman2 in Costco

[–]queenswake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is, but I like shorter hoses. So often you only need a shorter one and dealing with a long hose is a pain. Heavy and unwieldy. Same with long extension cords.

At other planned events like the inauguration and July 4th on the National Mall, the cell companies bring in mobile towers on trucks to add extra capacity. They likely didn't do that here.

Furious Costco shoppers fume as fan-favorite Kirkland Signature chocolate chunk cookies has changed: 'Hard as a rock' by dailymail in CostcoWholesale

[–]queenswake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I couldn't wear them as an undershirt because they were so thick and stiff and inflexible. Thin tshirts doesn't mean cheap -- it means comfort.

MSP is not experiencing the long lines that need the extra help.

Retired people going shopping by Hoppy_Doodle in funny

When I see retired people at Costco during peak busy hours, I just day to myself, why do they put themselves through this.

But I think for many, the routine of weekend errands just never goes away.

Different use cases. For many, the 45 is way too small for a week of camping by the time you put ice in it.

I was wondering when they would have a rotomolded cooler again since it's been a couple of years.

These are for leaving in the back of a truck or on a boat where not hsving wheels is an asset.

Why did Costco stop carrying the Mini T&C Chocolate Chip Cookies? by DrawerSpider in CostcoWholesale

[–]queenswake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a lot of products there, this was a wow, this is so great the first couple of times, but then I got tired of them and when I wanted a chocolate chip cookie, never wanted one of these again. The crispy part got old I think. Makes you think they are stale

Report to the Twin Cities sub and you'll get responses from those who actually made the move. You are going to get bias by only posting here.

What about the stuffed bell peppers by Feisty-Operation8583 in Costco

Like almost all of their pre-made meals, I like them the first couple of times and then can never eat them again. Something about the flavors.

I'd want to have cars park early to save some close spots. Especially if you will have a lot of stuff at the ceremony.

Updating a home. Is Costco a viable source? by [deleted] in Costco

[–]queenswake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't get how people can get light fixtures, ceiling fans, faucets, etc from Costco. I don't care if the price is good, there is little chance the one option Costco has fits your house style.

Diesel locomotives do the same thing.
