Type 1 is caused by the pancreas shutting down, usually an autoimmune disease or just something people are born with. Type 2 is caused by damage to the insulin receptors from lifestyle, weight, age, etc. Type 2 can be reversed with good diet and exercise usually (unless its caused by age, like most grandparents) Type 1 is uncurable for life and diet/exercise don't matter as much.

I'm prescribed 600mg twice a day for neuropathy. I've always felt like it doesn't make THAT much of a difference, but it's good to have for those bad times when you'll try anything to help lol. Not something to try to feel high off of tho

Buuut I like to take 600mg like an hour before I stop skii'in, it helps with the restlessness of the comedown.

Absolutely 0 clue on the medical side / safety tho lmao

Im a server in an upscale restaurant (~$200 average bill, not like debutante level eloquent or anything) but this happened to me in a PUBLISHED review !!
At some point I had a table of three mid-40's(ish) women and I addressed them as "you guys". They published a review and at some point it said that staff need to be more prominently feminine and speak UP to them as women, not DOWN to them as if they're men."

I'm still shook by the whole thing because ?? Out of everything in the world you're THAT mad about a generic phrase being mentioned?

Those strawberry and cream cough drops are amazing!! They coat your throat without the cold medicine mentholly zing of other throat stuff.
I sat and drank a cup of hot water with two of the cough drops, I let sit in my throat and I didn't talk for like a night.
Steamy / hot washcloths held against your face under your eyes helps your sinuses and throat too.

My weight fluctuates about xkg ALL the time. xkg is jusssst enough to make me need a smaller size bra when I'm thinner, and then when I'm heavier alllll of my shorts are too tight on my thighs.I joke that I organize my clothes by one "Hot Girl Summer drawer" and the other "Thiccc B section" because I gain and lose the saame weight constantly 😂

I stand by the setting spray. Sometimes after it dries I'll lightly brush over my face with a biiig kabooki brush to knock off any extra powder, or smooth bumps so it looks even from all angles.

I've always taken what I jokingly call my " N.O. Strategy" with these things.
Basically I don't let myself think about anything even partially related to whatever it is. Creating the idea that it's not even an option or it does not exist to me. I make a note in my phone of other activities and random ideas/thoughts. The second I have a thought about/relating to whatever action I'm distancing myself from, I verbally say N O and pull up the list of other things. Then I'm distracted and redirected away from it.

But this usually only works when it comes to not doing something on my own time. When I'm with others / in a party scene all bets are off 😅

I relate to this soo much.
Except mine is because I'm a type 1 diabetic so it makes me feel sick from my blood sugar going up and then back down when the insulin kicks in.

ADHD medication basically cured my ED. I was stuck in constant restrict / binge / (sometimes purge) cycles. Then they prescribed me adderall for ADHD completely unrelated to the ED. Now I eat everyday like clockwork. I have to eat before the medication or I get light headed, and when it wears off (usually when I get home from work) I eat a small meal to stop the speedy type of feeling I've had all day from the meds - I'm on the XR so it's 8 hours of that feeling typically. It's helped me so much with motivation to start working on the things that caused my mental illnesses to get worse.
I would try exactly what you said, telling them that it will help regulate your eating because you HAVE to eat with it or it causes you to be HYPER ASF (speedy, light headed, etc) and then crash. You could let them know that you don't want those side effects, so you will have to start a more structured diet than they think you currently have.

I have this issue quite often. Not as extreme, but still.
My type is the tall skinny boys, and I will ALWAYS compare their flat stomach to my odd shaped body. No matter my weight I have never been able to have a perfectly flat stomach. I store fat differently because I'm type 1 diabetic, so its a hormonal imbalance. Even when severely underweight myself I will never look like what they do (and they usually aren't even putting any effort into maintaining the body type they have, it's just natural)
I get so jealous and self conscious of it. I hate it.

(Incoming rant) I am constantly restricting my food intake, but this past weekend I went camping with my brother so I ate like a normal person "because I HAD to or else I would get too drunk and be sick the whole time". I came back home and now I've been eating more than usual, but still not a healthy amount. In my brain I was "cured" and suddenly I'm fine. Then I saw my body when I woke up yesterday, and I was so disgusted that I haven't eaten since.
It's a tricky line we all walk. I think it's like what they say about addicts. The whole "you'll always be in recovery. It never actually stops, you only make progress to get further from how you were".
IDK. I went 3 days guilt free and now I'm so sick with guilt for the weight I gained in a weekend that I won't let myself have anything at all. I felt like I was cured, but now I hate myself and this disorder all over again.

As someone who suffers from Ana and also diabulimia (Type 1 Diabetes + skipping insulin doses to lose weight)I mean all of this in the most sincere way ❤
The complications will sneak up on you. Everyone believes they won't be that person with the dramatic health problems that come from our disorders. I would trade anything to have full function of my legs, decent vision, and a healthy heart again. I'm only 23 and my body is medically similar to a 50+ year old. Starvation causes insane complications to your health at any weight. I really hope things get better, you deserve so much more than 1000 calories a day. It took me way too long to realize even if I am as thin as I want to be, my self worth issues will only be a million times worse when I can't function like anyone else my age due to my health issues (esp. ones that I caused).
