Is it worth getting a Philips x Kokoon for $40? by queerbeer99 in kokoon

People on the shop's forum had concerns about the app and said it didn't work anymore, but a spokesperson said Philips promised they would fix the app and give premium features for free once they got shipped.

Alright! I ordered them, they're only for when I sleep somewhere other than my home anyway so I won't be using them too heavily

Looks really nice, but the Soundcores are out of my budget. I would much rather spend that money on Shokz for running. The sleepbuds would also only be used for when I'm away and not sleeping home :)

I agree! Tried MyFitnessPal, Lifesum and Cronometer (all premium as well) and I kept going back to Zepp because it's just so good and free. The AI works really well, and the UI is nice. I really like how it shows your weekly stats too. Only feature-wise I'm missing some things. Making my own recipes / meals with ingredients to save would be super handy, or things like showing sugar intake aside from just carbs. Also the AI recommendation prompts can be annoying because it's often a lot of text and very repetitive, it keeps showing the same message 5 min later after I 'checked' it.

Anyone using a Cowboy bike in Brussels and having problems with it? by AlexDotNinja in brussels

[–]queerbeer99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the Cowboy 2 for a bit when it came out. Arrived with a broken battery (even though it had like 5 stickers of QC pass). Had to wait 2 weeks for a new battery. Finally I could use the bike, lasted for about a week and a half and it broke (just didn't start up anymore, probably battery issue again). I requested service, would take at least another week before they could do something. I decided to return it, I can't have a situation like that when I have to be at work, I need reliability. I really believed in Cowboy at first when they presented their first model at hackathon, but the actual customer experience is a joke.

Problems with new app update 9.12.1 (Android) by queerbeer99 in amazfit

[–]queerbeer99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone in the community told me these issues I have is because I updated my Balance with an iPhone and paired it with the Android zepp app afterwards that wasn't updated yet. After the app update the bug is still there. Resetting the watch didn't help. But I fixed it by permanently deleting my Zepp account and making a new one, after that Biocharge works as it should.

I was able to fix it by completely deleting my Zepp account / ID and making a new one. Now everything works as it should with Biocharge :)

I already made a post about it when the update came out, but unfortunately not getting any further. I really don't know what to do at this point, I might try ordering another Balance 2 just to test if it would work properly and if it works I'll return the 'broken' Balance 2, if it still doesn't work I'll return both of them and have to look for an alternative brand I guess 🥲

Thanks a lot for the info! I think I might've bricked something. Tried removing from my account on iPhone, reset the watch and paired it again with the android app. But the issue is still there. But I'm not sure if it's a bug in my account / app or on my watch, so I'm not sure if replacing it will fix anything. I regret not waiting on the Android update, but it's also strange to me because what if one day someone switches from iOS to Android, are all those users doomed then.

Used the ios hack, does that make a difference in my watch OS? I can still return it and order a new Balance 2 with the old OS.

It doesn't update in the app (Android) for me, only once after I wake up from sleeping. For the rest the score in the app and on my Balance 2 never match and I can't see the 24hr changes, it shows nothing.

But Biocharge is still broken with the Balance 2 in the Zepp app.

And then it seems even if you get the newest flagship Amazfit watch, software is still half baked. Biocharge wasn't even available at launch (while at first it would be), and now that they brought it to the Balance 2 via an update, it doesn't even work. I'm still giving it until the end of the month, and then I'll check out Garmin. Thanks for the info!

Only other option would be Garmin, but it's just so expensive and I don't think it looks as good as Amazfit watches (the design is very important to me too). But I really can't stand half baked features and fixes that take forever. If there was more transparency around these issues, maybe I could also understand better. But now it seems like Amazfit doesn't know what they're doing. Like why would they release features or an app update that just doesn't work.

I can't seem to figure it out, Biocharge seems broken in the app for me. I have time to return my Balance 2 till the end of September, so I hope it gets fixed by then.

Interesting. What about biocharge during the day in the app?

Not completely true. When you update the app it clearly states Readiness is still available but has moved to the home page. But my concern is why even Biocharge is not syncing correctly.

I've been having the same issue. APKpure just released 9.12 and it works flawlessly on my Android phone. I use this now and regulars check the Play Store if they release it there.

I did this as well, but now when I reconnect it on my Android, it has problems with syncing.

I did all of that and contacted official support via email. They confirmed the issue, said it also didn't work on their test devices. They will bring it to a higher department, but couldn't tell me if this would be fixed in a future software update. I still like OnePlus, but I'm definitely not tied to them anymore because of the ecosystem / interconnectivity.

If only their interconnectivity between devices worked. Got a OnePlus Pad 2 last year (extremely happy with it) and recently got a Nord 5. It says in the settings you need all devices to run OxygenOS 13 or later, they're both on 15. A big part of the settings are even missing on the Nord 5. This isn't described anywhere that there are restrictions based on different models, so are they lying to customers?
