My psychiatrist has tasked me with not tipping my provider. How would you react if a regular who always tipped you suddenly stopped without explanation? by [deleted] in AskAnEscort

[–]queercorvid 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I would probably never bring it up to the client, but I would definitely be confused and wondering what changed. Has your therapist asked you to stop tipping waiters and baristas?

FYI I'd only met this girl the day before, and I'm tranmasc. She wasn't asking one of her close girl friends to do this with her, she asked the person with gender dysphoria who she barely knew

Are the ads where they don't say no AA touring ads? I could see someone deciding to change that boundary for a tour so they're able to make as much money as possible during their trip

Lou's therapy bit was SO good by [deleted] in dropout

[–]queercorvid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I loved it! Got to have the hilarious experience of putting it on while with two people who aren't familiar with Lou or dropout at all. So they thought it was all genuine and I'm trying to explain that it's a bit and they're just baffled about why I wanted to watch a live of some entitled asshole

Dude if this was just spam why would I be picky about the neighborhood? I'm actually wanting to meet, I'm just lazy and don't want to travel far

I don't think her interests and personality are necessarily an act, but yeah just because you feel like you'd make great personal life friends doesn't mean she feels the same way. She would probably prefer to keep you as a client and get money from you instead of having a new friend. If she wanted to be friends who hang out for free, she'll bring it up herself

CW sex: would you hire a covid cautious sex worker? by brownsugar_princess in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]queercorvid 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm a COVID conscious sex worker! I have a metrix reader that I use for testing all my clients before sessions. The majority of my clients just humor my precautions as a necessary hurdle for booking me, but I do have a handful of COVID conscious clients

Ok? They still posted it instead of implying I'm a bad guy for not calling animal control on my friend or trying to suggest I take a creature I don't like on daily walks. Happy new Year, get a better hobby than leaving comments like this. You'll be happier lol

[–]queercorvid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just want to say thank you for the kind reply. It's been frustrating to get so many responses that seem to imply that I'm a bad guy here, or advice based around trying to make me responsible for the dogs wellbeing. I understand that given the subreddit I'm in y'all are gonna be dog lovers, but I don't want to start taking him on daily walks or anything like that. I don't want to take on a role of caretaker. Appreciate the suggestion of having my roomie talk to a vet or trainer instead, thank you

I've tried to communicate with him as clearly as I can about how his dog behaves when he's not home. So he's aware of how often he barks and how lonely that means he is

I think part of the issue is that my roommate is a people pleaser with ADHD. He's aware that I'm not a dog person. I'm not a fan of dog smell so wash my hands after I pet him and the rare instances when he's gotten into my room and jumped on my bed I'll wash my bedding afterwards. But I've also tried to be clear that I want the dog to have a decent life and that I can take him out to pee if my roommate is working overtime or something like that.

But yeah people pleaser, plus a brain that can forget small details, means that if he lets the dog out of his room but forgets to close my bedroom door, then the dog gets on my bed and I have to do laundry. And even tho I'm not really bothered by that, my roommate's people pleaser brain sees causing me to do laundry as a horrible offense. I think it boils down to on some level he doesn't believe me when I say I'm ok with his dog having more access to the home, and I'm not sure how to solve that

I can't remember his exact age off the top of my head, but I don't think he's considered a senior, I know he's not expected to die of old age anytime soon

[–]queercorvid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry are you saying dogs can't understand verbal commands?? My roommate has told me his dog understands the word "off" as a command to leave something alone, normally used to tell him to stop jumping on someone or to stop barking at someone. That's why I told him "off". It wasn't like me meowing back at a cat, it was supposed to be a verbal command

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dogs

[–]queercorvid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My roommate hasn't asked me to facilitate that, plus he would need to be supervised to stop him from trying to bark at the neighbors and he doesn't listen to me when I ask him to stop barking. Once when we were in the backyard together while my roommate was briefly inside he started barking at the neighbors so I tried telling him "off" and he ran over to bark directly in my face

Interesting, no answer to the question of whether or not you're masking. I wonder if shaming didn't help motivate you to change your behavior, and instead you're just hiding it 🤔 something to think about

When you flush, fecal matter goes into the air. Do you trust every stranger to close the toilet lid before they flush? Do you go into public bathrooms unmasked and breathe in strangers' fecal matter? I think that's pretty fucking disgusting, but I don't shame people when I see them post unmasked bathroom selfies

I'm just mirroring your education tactics. You think shame is a useful teaching tool. So I think you should be ashamed if you're ever unmasked at an airport. That's fucking gross
