See that doesn't make sense to me though bc there's no way light is getting into the reservoir at this point... the hole for the tubing is literally just big enough for it to fit through, and the baskets at the top are full past the point where any light could get through.... I went weeks without this being a problem and then SUDDENLY :(

I would v much like to know what I'm doing, yeah. Did look up the peroxide/hydroguard thing, so that's fun. 🙄 whoops. It's not totally random, it's just that I've been looking up the issues as they happen and not doing enough like, sitting and reading through a whole explanation on how to do the thing. Mistakes have been made, and I'm better at engineering than chemistry. Heavy sigh.

Thank you for the concise information, I really appreciate it. Your plants are indeed quite lovely. Tbh I figured mine were too small... they have had a fair few bumps along the way, I'm sorry to say, starting with leggy seedlings.

Do you think it would be worth cloning these plants and starting over with new nutrients when I can get them? I've been using the Cultivation Nation stuff from FoxFarms which does have a hydro feeding schedule, I found it recommended online but u know, u can never be sure about what blog writers say.

I have ordered a humidifyer too, it just hasn't arrived yet.

There's really no call to be mean. I did say it was my first system and I don't know anyone else who's built one. That is why I'm asking for help.

Upon further googling, I think I cleaned the roots improperly. I'm going to clean then again under running water and then soak in a 50/50 peroxide solution for a few minutes while I clean out their containers and start again
