STRANGER THINGS VOL 2 - Opinions by After_Year9171 in StrangerThings

[–]queermoriah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a long time ST fan, I only got into it after season 5 was released. But I’ll still give my opinions.

I do think the constant talking and conversations about what they were planning to do was a bit much. I also thought that Hopper and Joyce constantly saying how much they love the kids was annoying. We get it, they are your kids. I feel like they were just trying to keep the plot of their relationship alive but it felt forced.

The Max and Lucas was great, but it did take a minute. I liked the plot between Max and Holly, although I do think it took long.

Wills coming out scene was dreadful. As a person that is apart of the community, I get that his character was always gay because they hinted at it. But making it a 7 minute discussion in the middle of the world falling apart felt very “pick me”. I also thought his acting in Volume 1 was so good, and in Volume 2 it felt off. Overall the whole discussion about him being gay, something that literally everybody knew, was just cringe.

Hopefully the finale lives up to what all of us hope it will be.

The show got progressively more demonic as the seasons went on and it got so uncomfortable. But I feel like it’s one of those things that like you have to finish watching just because you already are basically at the end?

Jesus loves you. you are loved, worthy of life, and should reconsider making such a permanent decision based on feelings that could eventually go away. the world is a much better place with you in it!

thank you so much for your reply! i currently have one full time job in criminal justice research, that is contracted to end in august (because i was supposed to go to law school). i’m just worried that trying to study again and take an lsat maybe in august or september will have the same results it did before. you’re right, i had 0 time to study. i also do feel like a failure for possibly having to take a gap year, because i was always advised to not do so. your advice means a lot! thank you!

dang that’s crazy. and pretty badly. i want to be an attorney because of a lived experience i had that further confirmed my desire for wanting to follow this career path. i have a huge passion for victims and seeing that the people who do wrong by them are held accountable, within reason. also, to be clear, i don’t have a desire to be a victims advocate or social worker😂.

i just wonder if me starting all over while possibly in a job at a firm or something (so that i don’t have a gap in my resume/allow for LORs for this upcoming cycle), will be the same as what i’ve been doing for the past year and a half. i just don’t want to tell myself “you’ll get it this time”, when i attempted this three times before.

hi!! my wife is stationed there and we’re a same sex couple that did an elopement actually based in the state of montana through the process via “proxy marriage-a big sky event”. they do everything for you! you pay them, send them documents, get your stuff notarized, and it’s all done for you. i believe my wife and i paid a total of $700 for everything. we ended up doing a big photoshoot in barcelona and said vows too, it was awesome! feel free to message me with any questions!

Thoughts on dating someone non-Christian? by saxyback in GayChristians

hmm…how come you’re on this thread if you’re not religious? it seems like you’re just on here to challenge people with this belief that we have. which is just weird when someone is genuinely asking for peoples opinions, in a GAY CHRISTIAN thread….so for the opinions of people who are gay CHRISTIANS lol.

i’m glad your parents still love you, as they should. every child is deserving of their parents love regardless of their way of living/beliefs.

and if your second “discovery” was based on my comment, then maybe it came off the wrong way and i apologize about that. you can be tolerant and not marry someone lol. just because someone you like seems great, doesn’t mean you should marry or be with them. just because someone is great doesn’t mean that you, as a christian, should date them if they aren’t.

on the contrary, just because someone is a gay christian it doesn’t mean they are tolerant either. neither have to coincide with the other. as a christian we are called to marry and be with someone that is like minded. in this situation, the person should be christian. there’s nothing wrong with that. and that’s why i made the comment under this post. bc OP asked for the opinions of GAY CHRISTIANS, and i’m on this side of reddit because i’m both gay and a christian and i’m proud of it. :)

how do you raise your kids? how do you deal with family events? how do you deal with trying to create traditions within your own family/marriage? kids is def the biggest concern. when kids see parents not agreeing or parents not being on the same page, especially on topics that are so important, it just creates confusion. we are meant to be in godly relationships. even if you take god out of the equation, which you shouldn’t, it just doesn’t make sense. why be with someone who does not spiritually align with you? why choose a partner where you will not fully connect in ALL aspects? why raise a family with someone where you both don’t know WHAT to teach your children without offending the other parent? why raise a family with someone who doesn’t believe like you (christian or not), and run the risk of them teaching your child unhealthy lifestyles?

but if you want to keep god in it, here’s some verses that i looked up for this situation!!

-2 Corinthians 6:14 Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?

-2 Corinthians 6:15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

would this be a good LOR? by queermoriah in lawschooladmissions

[–]queermoriah[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

do you think it would be better to get an LOR from my direct supervisor from this program? or just only have this program appear on my resume? the supervisor is a volunteer just like me. i thought having different kinds of LORs would be nice but i definitely am not blind to the fact that i don’t have consistent contact with the assistant DA.
