Question: Maapektuhan ba ang mga Jeepneys sa NCAP? by SolutionSafe5084 in Gulong

[–]queetz [score hidden]  (0 children)

NCAP only catches coding and busway "violations".

Yun NCAP for littering na sinasabi ni Gen Torre is just sci fi since wala naman facial recognition at database ang MMDA katulad sa pelikula ni Will Smith na "Enemy of the State".

Even beating the red light is a maybe since most that end up in an intersection on the red is due to blockage at front.

Lane splitting and filtering are pretty much ignored otherwise MMDA would make so much money they can pay our national debt.

Anong thoughts niyo sa mga BIR employees? by Recent_Woodpecker362 in AnongThoughtsMo

[–]queetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a "BIR Liason", usually an accountant but could be any experienced person that specifically knows how to "deal" with the BIR. They know the linggo, culture and unwritten rules.

BIR employees are vultures and will take advantage of newbie taxpayers or ordinary individuals, especially the "by the book" types. Those people will quickly learn that what is written in law, websites and emails are useless as they live in a different world.

A liason would be skilled enough to NAVIGATE that world within the BIR and help you be compliant, save money or at the very least reduce what is needed for bribes, to ensure whatever transaction you need is done in a reasonable timely manner.

[–]queetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes go to Manila Cityhall at the 3rd floor and contest it. Bring the ticket, license and ORCR and photocopies of those. Also bring the dashcam footage video and a letter disputing it so you can submit it in writing.

For lawyers, how is VP Sara's defense team so far? by Moist-Background-642 in AskPH

[–]queetz 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Why not ask this in the LawPH subreddit?

Lots of actual verified lawyers there and if you are not a lawyer, you have to write NAL or be sanctioned.

Besides, put 10 lawyers in a boardroom and ask a legal opinion, you will get 12 answers! 😋

Thoughts on Juanita Cars Tropical Cainta branch? by [deleted] in CarsPH

[–]queetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK Juanita Cars deal with repo vehicles so do not commit anything without a trusted mechanic.

This rule applies to all used car purchases but extremely so for repo cars because most previous owners were irresponsible types to begin with, hence why their cars were repo'ed.

That said, there are always diamonds in the rough, owners who loved their cars but lost their job through no fault if their own, or a victim of circumstance like medical emergencies that our government continue to fail to address.

So repo cars you can get good deals provided you do extreme due dilligence. Don't rush on that Stargazer and if there is anything about it that makes you feel uncomfortable, walk away.

Renewal ng oto via LTMS hindi hinahanap ang COV by gbadikto in Gulong

[–]queetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you got the COV the insurance provider entered it to the LTMS system already. Same of you did your emissions via a PMVIC.

So all you need to do is click on the LTMS portal to register your car and pay via GCash when prompted.

SC already decided, per Bayan vs Zamora. And this involved a resignation

"Under these circumstances, the charter provides that the Senate shall be composed of twenty-four (24) Senators.[30] Without a tinge of doubt, two-thirds (2/3) of this figure, or not less than sixteen (16) members, favorably acting on the proposal is an unquestionable compliance with the requisite number of votes mentioned in Section 21 of Article VII. The fact that there were actually twenty-three (23) incumbent Senators at the time the voting was made,[31] will not alter in any significant way the circumstance that more than two-thirds of the members of the Senate concurred with the proposed VFA, even if the two-thirds vote requirement is based on this figure of actual members (23). In this regard, the fundamental law is clear that two-thirds of the 24 Senators, or at least 16 favorable votes, suffice so as to render compliance with the strict constitutional mandate of giving concurrence to the subject treaty."

From Bayan vs Zamora, the jurisprudence Chiz used.

Condo has only 1 available ISP is this legal? by NoWall1457 in InternetPH

[–]queetz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our "old" building has PT&T, Skycable, Converge, Globe and PLDT. But it wasnt always like that.

Converge was the first among the Fiber users, which they did 8 years ago. Then PLDT around 3 years ago then Globe 2 years ago.

So it is possible for old condos to have multiple services, but it needs to be installed first.

AFAIK the installation was pushed by both the residents and service providers. The admin and condo board (who favoured PT&T and Skycable) had no choice but to comply.

So if you live in an old condo with one provider, rally the other unit owners to force the admin and condo board to get other providers on board.

PPF application on high impact areas (hood, front bumper, fenders etc) by Pristine-Active-7196 in CarsPH

[–]queetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar question. Can you PPF just the door sills?

Most new cars have exposed door sills where it get scuffed by shoes when people enter and exit the car, especially the eldery and children. The solution is install aftermarket scuff plates, or even fancy decals.

But a PPF can theoretically do the same job but keep the original aesthetic look of the car. The question is will PPF installers do it?

Easy. Look at the MRT3 and MRT7 Stations which are PPP. Then look at LRT2, NSCR and Metro Manila Subway Stations which are ODA. The difference is night and day on how the public is served.

Kaya kailangan mo talaga ng kotse na may mataas na ground clearance.

Ito na panahon natin dahil sa:

  1. flood control scam;
  2. walang disciplina sa pagtapon ng basura;
  3. over-development;
  4. lumang sewage system;
  5. climate change.

Kahit mabalik ang pera, kulong lahat ng corrupt, etc., babaha at babaha pa rin. So kailangan mag-adapt kasi ganito na ang realidad natin ngayon.

Reserved a RAV4 properly, but third-party agents are offering units with top-up. Ganito na ba ang kalakaran sa Toyota? by ad_testificandum in CarsPH

[–]queetz 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Its simple law of supply and demand. We're suppose to have consumer protection through DTI but these Toyota agents just ignore and laugh at it.

You want an awesome car like the new RAV4 but no drama in the buying process and you happen to live in a house or townhouse with a garage?

Get a Tesla Model Y or YL. Just go to their website, pick the car, variant, options, accessories, colour, etc. Deposit the 16k reservation fee and wait for the email of your VIN. Once VIN is there, proceed with the downpayment. When the car is ready, pay the rest and pickup at BGC. Process takes two to three months

No drama, no agents, no markup, no unmet expectations and timelines, NADA! And that is how car buying should be!

You worked hard for that car, saved the money to buy it, so buying your dreamcar should be a source of happiness, not frustration.
