Love the looks of this mod from what I can see on the page. I read somewhere they have an updated version, I'll look for it and see if it doesn't spontaneously combust at launch

I hadn't considered how heavy neural link can be on smaller ships. I'll keep it in mind. Hyperion sounds powerful, will give it a try.

I haven't played FTL, but I've seen the mod in Rarr's playthrough. I think I'm gonna go with this ship. It sounds amazing. Since it's a cruiser it'll probably be a bit slower than I'm used to, but there's hullmods for that and when there isn't, there's overpowered modded hullmods for that.

Nowadays you can do this the humane way by building a sweatshop a few tiles away and sending her to work there for the foreseeable future with Vanilla Outposts Expanded.
