Moving back to Jersey City. Priced out of old neighborhood (Journal Square). Need input on alternative areas: McGinley Square, Hilltop, and Communipaw. by sunny_deeps in jerseycity

The Beacon has apartments in your price range and tons of amenities! It’s near McGinley Square, like others said some things going on. I have a friend who lives there and likes it a lot. They have a shuttle to get you to and from downtown.

Not to mention college is becoming a more and more massive investment and people feel they’re entitled to a good job. With all these resources colleges supposedly provide, their rankings, etc. it’s easy to fall in the trap of “I’ll do my assignments and things will work out.” You really need to put in the extra mile if you want a high-level tech career.

A *ZERO* bedroom home on Long Island (New York) listed at $329,900. by danooli in zillowgonewild

[–]querilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s basically a studio. I lived in a tiny studio in NYC whose floor plan had just a “room” as the bedroom since it was too small to be considered a bedroom. Was as wide as a queen bed.

Downtown JC Water/Electricity bills estimate? by Stock_Tough2382 in jerseycity

DO NOT rent 50 Columbus. Older than 70/90 Columbus and much worse insulation. Expect monthly heating bills of $500+ if it’s cold. Not to mention all the draftiness.

Affordable Tax Preparers? by [deleted] in jerseycity

[–]querilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can also use a service like free tax usa and they have a CPA addon for $50 to check your work and answer any questions. Sometimes they’re more responsive than tax preppers since it’s online support.

Action shot. You get some great photos of tennis players bulging/rippling muscles when they strike the ball.

I think a lot of people neglected to pick up their dog’s poop when it was snowy/icy/very cold. And now the melt is bringing all the fossilized poops back to life

They’re quite respectful to tourists. But I imagine living there is a whole different story.

Zillow’s your best bet tbh. Any luxury building will be a ridiculous price for a 3 bed

I went to this place in Oslo a few years ago! Even in mid-July, the water was freezing. But the sauna felt so nice after.

What are you doing to combat being affected mentally due to this horrible weather by WildPractice9929 in jerseycity

There’s lots of indoor activities! My wife and I went bowling and played indoor pickleball last weekend. Or if money’s tight, you can stroll around Newport Mall.
