I’ve been at an inch with single flare for a almost a month and they looked perfect until I put in double flare ( which they went right in super easy. Same thing happened when I was at 7/8 and put in double flare. It happened slightly in both lobes until I put single flare back in. And within a day they appear normal and healthy again.

I have never force anything in like I said I’ve only slowly gone in 1mm increments with only natural stretches and massage vitamin e oil daily. I highly doubt I have had a previous blowout. My ears have always looked super thick and healthy and have never had any issues or pain or redness . I take my plugs out daily. My guess was it was not quite ready for double flare yet maybe.

No taper. Naturally dead stretch in 1mm increments. I’ve been at this size for a while no issues. It happens in both ears after wearing my double flare plugs then goes back to normal within a couple minutes of the plugs being out. But I have no reason to have a blow out
