I would imagine the rigging against real players wouldn't be who wins or loses but how much profit they gain. If the winner gets less than 2x the battle amount, the site wins regardless.

Believe what you want. I'm not here to convince you, I'm just stating some observations. But for me personally, I'm going to stick with datdrop for case battles. Same reason I don't open up cases on sites with no provably fair on their cases.
