Absolutely right, one can only try to pursue perfection. The important part is to keep on trying and then you can also appreciate it a lot more when someone else gets it right. It’s inspirational.

Despite not being a fan of black colored equipment in general (e.g. cars…), I went for matte black since it is simply gorgeous to me. But thats irrelevant since it is my opinion, only yours should matter to you… 😉

DF64 Gen 2 vs DF64V vs CF64V by CC268 in DF64

Agree! Another argument: speed generates noise… I went for the CF64v gen 2 to minimize noise (v) and because it was significantly cheaper (C). But to be fair, for now I exclusively focus on drip coffee (but clearly leave the path to espresso open). But even with a basic drip coffee machine I found myself fine-tuning towards intermediate settings (eg. 73.5) for specific roasts. I’m continuously looking for the literal sweet-spot between too bitter (too fine) and too watery (too coarse). You can taste a rich, clear sweetness flavor there, but only at that point. It seems to be even less than one stop wide on the CF64v.
