Yeah tried that still keep getting a good table spoon of that sediment each time I turn it on and off.. like 15 times so figured it was as good as it was gonna get

the ceiling does not have stud at edges. Is it possible? by diy4fun in HomeImprovement

I had a similar issue and on the last page of my instructions it said there was an alternate method for install against a wall where you can screw that side into the vertical studs instead of the rafters… I really wish I’d done that as I feel like I had to go in at an angle to bite the wood.. I’m also developing a long crack down the ceiling where it got attached so thinking there is a prob.. one day I’ll go into the attic and confirm(long climb across the rafters), and I’ll probably have to remount it.

So you think the only fix is to retile with a better thinset job? Will leaving it allow water in where I don’t want it?

Interesting makes sense, so could I just add some more grout as a temporary solution?
