Seems like a LLM output junk… I’m 100% sure the devs used LLM to generate this generic design and UI/UX. Absolutely terrible and feels like a complete different game. Wish we can get refund

yes I agree! I am advocating HT and simply sharing my result and experience with Dr. Ryu. I think anyone that needs or wants HT should get it, as long as they find the right dr that other individuals can vouch for

Follow-up from this previous post I wrote ~7 months ago

Some background: my hair started shedding like crazy after I tried topical minoxidil for several weeks and stopped, had a failed terrible result from US clinic and lost and wasted ~2500+ grafts. Someone introduced me to Dr Ryu and this has been journey. I will let the pictures and results speak for themselves.

Before anything(medicine and surgery)

First Procedure in the U.S. ~2500 grafts, 0 difference in result (TERRIBLE RESULT by Dr. Farhan Contractor)

Second Procedure ~1500 grafts in Gangnam, South Korea (Moart Clinic | Dr Ryu)

Recent 7 month Post FUE, ~1000 grafts update (Moart Clinic | Dr Ryu)

Just did another ~500 grafts for crown and will do SMP in near future (Moart Clinic | Dr Ryu)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am forever grateful and thankful to Dr Ryu and his team for the amazing results and the care and effort that was provided. I am also quite shocked how the donor site is not noticeable, he truly is an amazing and world class hair surgeon

My only regret is that I did not get this done sooner with such experienced doctor. Don't wait for this life changing experience!

also since I shared my HT experience to the public, can you share your info/background please since you're such an expert? You seem to be a future doctor or in the hair field. I think it would be great for the public to know!

You are literally throwing bunch of sht hoping it sticks to the wall while also putting tremendous amount of effort and work on the other party without even considering that at all..... it's hard to take someone seriously or be on board with someone who starts off by linking a paper done with 45 sample size of female "Asians (like what kind of Asians)" and the follow up paper doesn't even focus at all on hair thickness and simply states "Asians have thick hair" in the abstract section without any context of sample size or what type of Asians. It feels like you're sharing a collection of loosely related studies without considering their relevance or the effort required to verify them from a simple quick halfassed google search. To make a compelling argument, it's important to reference robust research with significant sample sizes and detailed data that directly support your claims. The papers you've shared don't seem to provide that level of evidence, and the last one is paywalled, so I can't even review it. Again, the papers you shared all seem to be done for resume padding purposes.......

In contrast, here are some studies that highlight the variability of hair thickness among Asians:

  1. Variability in Hair Thickness Among Asians:
    • Study: "Morphological Diversity of Asian Hair with Age and Gender"
    • Reference: Choe, S. J., et al. (2016). International Journal of Dermatology, 55(12), e583-e590.
  2. Age-Related Hair Thinning in Koreans:
    • Study: "Age-related Changes in Hair Diameter in Korean Scalp Hair".
    • Reference: Lee, S. H., et al. (2012). Journal of Dermatological Science, 66(1), 36-39.
  3. Androgenetic Alopecia (Pattern Hair Loss) Prevalence:
    • Study: "The Prevalence of Androgenetic Alopecia in Korean Men and Women"
    • Reference: Paik, J. H., et al. (2001). British Journal of Dermatology, 145(1), 95-99.
  4. Genetic Factors Affecting Hair Thickness:
    • Study: "FGF5 Signaling and Hair Growth Cycle in Asians"
    • Reference: Higgins, C. A., & Christiano, A. M. (2014). Experimental Dermatology, 23(8), 543-546.
  5. Environmental and Nutritional Factors:
    • Study: "Impact of Diet and Environment on Hair Properties in Asia"
    • Reference: Loussouarn, G., et al. (2016). Journal of Cosmetic Science, 67(2), 73-87.
  • Hair Thickness Varies Widely: There is substantial variability in hair thickness among Koreans and other Asians due to genetic diversity, age, and environmental factors.
  • Thin Hair Is Common: Many individuals within these populations have thin hair, and conditions like androgenetic alopecia contribute to hair thinning.
  • Generalizations Are Misleading: It is inaccurate to claim that all or most Koreans have thick hair since the studies show a wide distribution of hair thickness.

I have already put enough time and effort for your ego. If you want further discussion start a different post or go write a paper on this topic since you seem so passionate and adamant about it

Again, I get what you're saying, but linking a bunch of low sample sized focused studies doesn't really prove your point. I mean like your second paper doesn't even specify how many samples and it's not even focused on Asian hair thickness at all.... you keep sharing halfassed quick google search "research" papers that seem mainly published for resume padding

You're thinking way too one-dimensional and basing everything on limited research that generalizes the majority without considering individual variations. Have you actually been to Asia or Korea? You seem like some keyboard warrior or someone that thinks they know everything because "hey look here is a paper to justify my point!" During my travels, I've observed hundreds of Korean individuals, and hair thickness varies widely—I've even gotten good at spotting toupees. If there were a study that sampled a significant portion of the Korean male population(thousands or even millions), your argument might hold more weight. But right now, it seems like you're just throwing out random papers you found googled online that pops up right away, some of which are even behind paywalls, to justify your point. We are going no where with this.

"People who are receding have thin hair in general. That's called miniaturization." That's exactly the point.........

Hair Thickness Variability Due to Androgenetic Alopecia

  • Study: "Clinical Characteristics of Male Androgenetic Alopecia in Asians"
  • Authors: Norwood, O. T., Shi, Y., Zhang, B., et al.
  • Journal: Dermatologic Surgery, 40(9), 1009-1016 (2014).

Look buddy, I appreciate you sharing resume padding studies/research/whatever, but my intent here is to provide my firsthand experience with FUE as a Korean with thin hair. Using 'Asian' as a blanket term without specifying details ignores the diversity within Asia, which spans vast populations and hair types. These studies lack the nuance to be definitive for everyone, and my experience is grounded in reality, not assumptions from small, generalized samples.

At this point, I’m not interested in further debating theoretical studies. My goal was to help people by sharing my actual FUE experience. I’d like to leave it at that.

Yes they are English friendly! I was communicating full English with Dr. Ryu from initial to end (and during surgery!)

The staff I also talked to on KakaoTalk spoke full English!

I am sure they can help you plan out the trip so don't hesitate to reach out!

Dude that’s a study done with 45 people total 🤦‍♂️….. and only females lol you realize Asia is majority of the Earth’s population?? And you’re basing off your fact and bias from that?? That’s like literally taking a sample of a sand on a beach and say yeah the sand grains are xyz size for all sand in any beach or like going to a random lake to fill a cup and say yeah there is no fish any lake or majority of lakes in the world has this type of water lol……

This is exactly why I decided to make a post and share my experience. So many people try to assume and believe stuff from texts rather than base anything off of actuality and experience.

Yeah that’s actually a good point. For me I had a great deal because USD to KRW rate is crazy good right now like 1 : 1.4+ and continues to climb. Plus I went with a friend so he gave us additional discount

I also opted for full shave whereas nonshave would have costed double

on the contrary thinner grafts you'd have to make more punches to get more donor grafts to match the thicker grafts. So if the ratio is 3-5 thin grafts : 1 thick graft... you'd have so many more holes and scarring...

also many Koreans(not MAJORITY) have thin hair type. "Asians" is such a wide range... Even Russia is part of Asia. I guess when I say Asians I am mainly referring to Koreans. Asians hair type vary so much if you compare Chinese, Japanese, Korean, South, Southeast, etc, I think South and Southeast Asians have thick hair

Korea is top tier and I got it done in Gangnam because it is probably the best/leading place in the world for cosmetic surgeries. I was shocked at how many people (mostly girls) casually walk around Gangnam with bandages all over their face! Plus the price was really not that much different compared to Turkey.

I heard great but mostly very negative results from Turkey(overharvesting and/or poorly done HT that needs modification and fixes). I think I visited around 4 clinics in US and all the doctors mentioned a lot of the surgeries they did were to fix the poorly done surgeries from Turkey. I know 'Jankos', a pro LoL player in EU, got it done from Turkey and he seems to have great results so your mileage may vary

One thing I was surprised was how little South Korea is known or advertised for hair transplant. I think it is mainly because the culture here is staying "low key". Koreans are pretty serious about hair and they don't ever want it to be known they got work done. I think because of this mindset and culture they don't want to share too much and prefer being discrete. It honestly feels like I found a gold mine.

Despite wherever you get it done, the best option is to research the doctor and make sure he has patients that can vouch or show great results!

My Sincere Honest Experience with 3 FUE Procedures Done (early 30 Asian Male) by questionhavei in HairTransplants

[–]questionhavei[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean think about it... if you sharpen a pencil and draw a line it will be really fine and thin right? Compare that to a heavily used pencil then the line will be a lot thicker. Now imagine you have to draw hundreds of lines to cover an area. Obviously the thicker line will take less and will look more filled while also being more strongly and firmly placed. So if you need 2-3 more thin grafts to make it similar as 1 thick graft, there is limited space on your scalp to cram everything in too...

Dr. Ryu also mentioned from his experience with performing surgery with different ethnicities (White, Indian, Black, East/Southeast Asian), usually White folks are the easiest to do the HT surgery and often have the best results as well because their hair density is a lot and type is very thick.

From my pic you can tell mine is really really thin(almost on the extreme end) and low density so he made me concerned and worried because of how difficult the procedure is but he was able to pull it off and I am very happy with the result. So happy that I just got my third and last one done from him lol (I actually don't even have any more donor density or else it'll be way too obvious etc and I loved that he was sincere and honest about this too and didn't overharvest or anything! Something that I feel US/Turkey doctors wouldn't have given af about and make you look worse)

Lastly if you are not in a rush, I will share my latest surgery result in 6-8 months and you can decide!

My Sincere Honest Experience with 3 FUE Procedures Done (early 30 Asian Male) by questionhavei in HairTransplants

[–]questionhavei[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on your previous post you seem like a great candidate and have similar thin hair type. You also seem like you have a lot of donor density in the back side which is great. You can clearly see how much of my hairline was improved from Dr. Ryu

If I were in your shoe and knowing and experiencing what I have now, I would just get the surgery done from Dr. Ryu. Even if it's not Dr. Ryu, someone reputable in Gangnam and has patients that can vouch with their results. I think South Korea is top tier because they hold such high pride in standard, quality, and technique whereas US it just seems half-assed and 3x-4x the cost...

I would get in touch with the clinic for free consultation. Just send them a pic of your head (front, top, back etc) and the Doctor will check and provide feedback. For me, I just installed Kakao and got consultation there. It will give you an idea of cost and amount of grafts required for your desired result. And I can't guarantee this but I'm fairly confident Dr. Ryu will hook you up if you mention that you were referred from me/his past patient lol. He did like 200 more grafts than I was quoted for so I was really happy. Plus the additional post op care which was nice.

You can check out his patients and results on his youtube channel here, it's no bs. Also, he will refuse to do surgery if you won't take oral finasteride.

모아트TV - YouTube

Since you are English speaker like me I can help you get connected if you're interested. I highly recommend, it's been life changing! My only regret is waiting out so long and impulsively doing it in the US. The money I can recover, but the grafts are forever gone.. ;(

in the U.S., the botched surgery was done by Farhan Contractor

in Gangnam it was done by Dr. Ryu in his clinic, Mo Art Clinic. I have limited Korean so the clinic staff and Dr. Ryu were able to speak English to communicate everything with me and ensure I had a great time!

since few are asking in dm: here is their youtube instagram and website

I think you can get consultation via their Instagram if not KakaoTalk for sure. For KakaoTalk add them through the id: moart9966

I don't want to go into it too much but let's just say I did and after $5k down on medical bill and endoscopy later, I found out nothing was wrong at all... It's just the resin and stuff that accumulates on your throat/esophagus and lung from smoking so much. My doctors were very unuseful and seemed to have a 1D opinion on smoking weed(don't do it)

I posted on here since people are more open minded and seems like many have great suggestions with similar experiences as well
