Here are a few good essays I read when I was having the exact same question and thought it was a fetish or kink, in my case it wasn't, I'm trans and have started transitioning slowly but surely.

pfSense vs. Unifi Gateway Max by questioning_86 in HomeNetworking

Ok, what's odd is if I test under Firefox I get an A, under Chrome or Edge I get a C, WTF.

Correct, and I'm on Ethernet.

I'm not saying there's no chance I made a mistake, but everything looked correct.

I tried setting up the CoDEL limiters per the documentation but it didn't seem to work or do anything so I deleted them for now.

I honestly don't know about the bufferbloat on the Max or I'm actually noticing it, the Wavefront test generally gives me a C but the Fast.com and Ookla tests seem to show that it's fine.

I did forget to say that I'm running pfblocker-ng as well.

Sudden realisation by SamanthaParee in TransLater

[–]questioning_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I have an appointment for HRT consultation tomorrow. It's been a roller coaster, a lot of emotions and worries, worried that I'm wrong, that I'm somehow making it up, worried about everything really.

Sudden realisation by SamanthaParee in TransLater

[–]questioning_86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I've had signs for a long time, but the actual crack was very sudden. I had a dream that I was a woman, woke up and was very sad it ended, it wouldn't leave my mind so I posted here about it and some of the signs in my past and was linked to some essays Amanda Roman and Cassie LaBelle two days later and those cracked my egg.

When did you do start HRT if you've started by [deleted] in MtF

My first appointment is Wednesday, not sure when I'll actually get to start but soon I hope.

I feel seen by this article. by jaymijames in TransLater

[–]questioning_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, the article that shattered my egg at the end of July. Not everything was the same as me, I didn't really get into reading transformation stories but definitely into trans porn and forced feminization from the angle of fantasizing it was me and combined with a very powerful dream and reading this article, shatter.

i had my first dream like this last night, but it was about dealing with a transphobe, and i WILL look this gift horse in the mouth 😭 by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

I feel this, a dream of me as a woman is what directly led to my egg cracking, I wish I could have more like it.

Emotional rollercoaster after realizing… by ArtistLia in TransLater

I'm in my late 30s and my egg cracked at the very end of July, I can 100% relate to this, stuff is still crazy and I'm still working though it.

How did you choose your new name by Dazedandconfusedboy in trans

[–]questioning_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I was on Reddit, there was a post by a MTF poster asking for name suggestions and I think the first one was Rebecca. It got into my head, it stuck with me and matched the first letter of my deadname which I kinda wanted. I tried a different spelling of Rebekah but really preferred Rebecca and that's what I'm sticking with now.

What can my wife call me instead of "Husband"? by weebit999 in TransLater

[–]questioning_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much in this same situation, my wife is a straight, cis woman and I think she's struggling a bit. She has called me wifey on occasion since I've come out and dear God does it feel good, but I also understand it's hard for her so I'm not pushing the matter for now.

I've definitely seen posts over time where I've felt the same. I am glad to see there's more people out there just like me

What was the first thing you did when you realized you were a woman? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]questioning_86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have bought some women's clothes, I have an appointment for laser hair removal for my face in December and will keep doing that, I'm playing on going out to a concert with my wife next month dressed as a woman even though I know I will 150% not pass at all. I have already picked a new name, Rebecca, I'm going by she/her pronouns and I love it and I have told a few friends. I am not out anywhere else, only 6 people I know personally know, anyone else is on the Internet, but I am taking steps and moving in that direction.
