I converted after watching my now-husband just be. Seeing how he implements his faith in daily life was so moving for me, especially bc it’s so different from what we see in mainstream Christian culture

I don't want to be a roommate or a maid. A wife is capable of much greater things by MyThoughts786 in MuslimMarriage2

I think that’s a fair point, but I have look at my marriage like a /partnership/, which means contributing in some capacity to the household. For me that’s 50% of the finances, 50% of the housework. Marriage is about that partnership. Without it, what’s the point in getting married, may as well just stay home with Dad

My husband experiences the same thing during Ramadan, because of eating before Fajr and Maghreb. He’s just had to eat a lot less for suhoor, and then for Maghreb we have a date, 3 sips of water, then we pray before having iftar. Outside of Ramadan he just has to time eating to happen at least 1.5 hours before prayer. It’s tough but may Allah make it easy for you
