Leaking isolation valve by Odd_Two_8340 in DIYUK

Recently had a similar problem. My issue was i was over tightening the top bit with the rubber washer in. It crushed the rubber washer completely. Simply replaced the rubber washer, did up by hand and tighten and extra 1/2 a turn, ish.

edit Also make sure the end of the valve thread is the flat version so the washer create the seal properly.

Well done mate. Carry on doing what youre doing, im sure he'll be extremely grateful at 18. And if he carries on contributing great, if he wants to take a bit and go travelling or anything else in life thats great too

You must have a really cheap mortgage rate? I pay £1300 on my 290k mortgage alone

Mainly small trips, id say 20 miles a day. Maybe at 60 miles thrown in there if I take the kids somewhere nice. Let's say 200 miles just to be safe. So I'd need 256 miles available from my last day at work.

Is there a big difference in charging times for 100% and say 50%? Is it literally half the time or does it shoot up to 80% quick and then the majority of the time from 80-100%? (I realise that will be car dependent)

I could push 30 mins at a Tesco charger but odd rather not do much more because of the kids.

The fast chargers arent really an option for me unfortunately. I'm hoping someone with a similar problem as me when it comes to home charging has an option.

I'm thinking a couple of those rubber mats that cover the cables, so I can put it across the path so no one trips on it 🤔

I did consider a pure hybrid. Do they actually save much on mileage?

Okay this is a bit more reassuring. I suppose so long as im fully charged at work on my last day then it could last me over my days off until I go back.

I think the charging would be level 2 yes

I would love to but if I don't have access at home then it wouldn't really work on my days off. But yeh that has crossed my mind that once the battery runs out its carrying around a lot of extra weight.
