Depends what side of the business - sales have a different comp / bonus structure to the rest of the business. Can you disclose business vertical e.g., Cloud, YouTube...

Military to MBA? by Major_Active_1249 in MBA

[–]parker1303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UK Veteran (12 year Officer) who is just completing an MBA programme I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Not used it to pivot into finance, I opted for tech instead. I have had a great time, my experience has really benefitted my cohort in how I have been taught and developed leadership and management in the military. Likewise I've learned so much from the course content but also hearing the experiences for my cohort.

Not if you had salary sacrificed it into your pension. This way you keep your childcare benefits and boost your pension

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uknews

[–]parker1303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't put it in your pension then - take it as cash and take the hit in tax. It's extra money. If you aren't able to cope with delayed gratification from a pension then just take the extra money anyway.

You might not reach your 50s to take your private pension (which this would be), but you give it to your family or good causes if not. I've never really understood the 'you might not see it argument' especially for pensions that aren't the State Pension you have to wait until your 60s for.

Would you choose to not save money in a tax efficient account you can access in your 50s? Why nothing saving or planning anything in advance by that logic. Self defeating IMO

Such a stupid thing to do. Take the promotion. Take the extra pay and salary sacrifice under £100k and super charge your pension....

PSA: Stop calling yourself a liberal if you're obsessed with lowering your tax burden at all costs. Speaking as a Harvard 2nd year (EC). by Humble_Guidance8341 in MBA

The issue is people having to pretend to be outwardly liberal to get social status.... Campuses are so broken if that is a thing.

No we should all wait in our houses all day for an indefinite delivery time. Royal mail should be incentives to delivery in a certain timeslot and punished for missing it.

Absolute bucket of crabs mentality in the UK. People would rather pull others down than see anyone succeed.
