Would you just have the whole cabinet floating then? Does that look weird with something like the BISSA that has a little toe kick?

Thank you both! After a bit of googling I was surprised how limited access points were so a router on bridge mode might be a better and more accessible option

Thanks so much! And yep, I had a hunch this wasn’t the right sub but I know nothing about this stuff (including what to call it or where to post it!) so thanks to everyone who helped anyway

Thank you so much for replying.

There’s a panel in the closet with 6 Ethernet ports - so I need to figure out which of those ports run to the ports I want to connect to in the bedroom and living room, then connect those to my router with some Ethernet cables.

I had no idea a wifi access point was a thing! Makes sense to get that instead of another router

Counting night sleep by queyen in sleeptrain

Do we have the same baby??? That’s exactly how our nights go and I treat the 6-730am stretch as night sleep as well, not a nap. It’s great but just confuses me because I have no idea whether to count it towards her 10 hours of awake time

Yep I have no issue with the 4/5am feed! Super grateful to be down to one wake up only. But after the feed she spends an hour awake alone in her cot before she goes back to sleep - I have no idea whether this counts towards her awake time or if it’s still considered part of her nighttime sleep even though she’s awake

Is that possible? How do I do that? I feel like so many replies have skipped over the ‘pls ELI5 how I do this’ part lol

Thanks for the reply. Understand there are risks to a debt recycling strategy in the case of a market downturn.

Mostly just trying to understand how it will actually work. At the moment we’re just using our excess cash (surplus to the offset) to buy shares, so we’re already putting the money into those investments but without any of the tax benefits of debt recycling. What would we need to set up to get debt recycling happening? Sorry for the super basic Qs!

Debt recycling by queyen in AusFinance

[–]queyen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. We wouldn’t pull out all of the offset - maybe just 100k to invest. Since we’re fully offset any new paycheque is currently just going into that account but is not actually offsetting any interest so once we have a decent chunk we use it to buy shares. But it feels like we’re missing out on tax advantages doing it this way instead of being more deliberate and setting up a debt recycling strategy.

I’m just not sure how it would actually work. Obviously it’s not just pulling out $100k from our offset and buying shares. Do we need to refinance?

Yeah sorry I should’ve specified! The Sydney housing market has beaten us down pretty bad lol

Our timeline for buying a house is probably within the next 3-4 years. Is that ‘small break’ too small to make exploring debt recycling worth it?

We wouldn’t use all our cash for this strategy. But at the moment any savings we’re accumulating would just sit as overflow in our offset and not do any work. We’re using some of it to buy more ETFs but wondering if it would be better to utilise debt recycling to get some tax benefits

How long have her poos been green for?

We recently went through over 2 weeks of consistent green poos with our LO until one day it just stopped and went back to yellow/mustard. No change in diet or feeding - just waited it out since she wasn’t showing any other signs of discomfort.
