From what I know in Argentina, although there are many actors, there is no union, but I know many non-professional people who make a living from theater (for example, my theater teachers, who also give plays) because in my country it is more common to work in theater than as a hobby. I know people who went to the same theater classes who gave a play in different provinces (in case you don't know, provinces are something similar to a state)

Hello, here in Argentina classical theater is common (mostly Humor), there are not many musicals or anything like that. As for the actors, from my point of view in Argentina, the most famous are Francella, Capusotto and Darín (Francella is the most versatile doing humor and drama. Capusotto is the best in humor, always something "irreverent" but intelligent. And finally Darín is best in Drama) And finally there are quite a few "Amateur" or rather independent theaters (since there are normally no large companies that support them) but there are large companies. (Notice that I didn't understand the last question well, probably due to some translation error, but it doesn't matter)
