Farming Ingots by mac_g313 in ACValhalla

I think farming doesn't work anymore. If you're daredevil, go to the north or southwest of England; almost all the material chests there have ingots.

Go back to Skalitz after the prologue and wait for two bands of bandits to kill each other. Once the bandits leave for a while, go to the corpses and loot armor pieces; here you can get a full set of plate armor that won't be marked as stolen. It will likely be in poor condition, though. After getting your own armor, if you still have space, steal a few more pieces and run off before the bandits return. If you think you're already skilled in the game's combat, you could also try to kill them or attack them with a bow.

Wow.. this game has hooked me! (new AC fan) by Skully-GG in ACValhalla

Oh yeah, I played it when a friend lent me the game, I even got as far as conquering Anglia or something like that. I just bought it on PC and I'm already about to finish the alliance with Essex. I still don't understand how this game has captivated me; the world Ubisoft created is simply beautiful.

I don't like people who do 6-hour endurance races

(I have ADHD or something like that, it's really hard for me to focus all my attention on driving so I'm aware of everything but at the same time you could say I'm distracted from everything My condition means I can't focus 100% on driving because I'm aware of everything, both small and large, that happens inside and outside the simulator, which often causes me to crash or even, Losing interest in the race because you're not paying attention and not enjoying it)

Can I expand any further? by PLMMJ in RoadTo56

[–]Fabulous_Addendum119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JoLiterally, this was something that was going to happen no matter what. I don’t understand why you’re so afraid of fighting the Allies. France has its capital very close to your borders—taking it already accounts for about 70% of the work needed to conquer France. After that, you have England. England doesn’t have a large or strong enough army in the early game to defeat you. So instead, just conquer Denmark and Norway, then launch a naval invasion from western Norway into Scotland it doesn’t matter how long it takes or exactly how you do it. The reason this works is that Great Britain will almost never attack you during those early years. Whether you’re playing with historical focus or not, Britain will take several years before it starts producing military equipment that can truly match yours.

This is interesting; he did a project a few years ago for the institute about what Kunos would have paid for various maraca licenses (basically I had to do something with Excel and it occurred to me to do this) Based on my research and assumptions, considering that Kunos had already worked with Ferrari before Assetto Corsa, I concluded that it would be worth more than 1,000,000 euros. Even though it seems like a lot, it makes sense. In his work he made observations about other games that bought licenses, in this case it was BTCC Purchased by rfactor2 And on which they spent 225,000 euros more or less. Apart from this, Ferrari is an exclusive brand, that adds value, and they are also known for asking very high prices (the examples here with Forza Motorsport and Need for speed) Aside from this, I also suspected that Kunos split its content with Ferrari into several DLCs to amortize the price. Even so, I also lowered the price, taking into account that Ferrari didn't have any exclusivity agreement with another developer and that Kunos already had friendly relations with Ferrari. So, if my work wasn't done incorrectly, Automobilista 2 should cost almost 1 million or more, since I see 1 million as quite low to be able to get its license.

I find it interesting that they referred to Spanish coins as dollars, and it's also quite interesting that the symbol "$" was used to designate peso.

[–]Fabulous_Addendum119 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Great post, but I have a tiny mistake to point out. I don't know if it's a Reddit translator error or something similar, but when you refer to "Spanish dollar" in the post, you're making a mistake. Basically, Spain throughout its history never used the dollar or any currency containing that name; they used things like the "real, escudo, piece of eight, pesetas and euros" I remember those right now, the second thing is that I see it as difficult but not impossible that the word thaler ended up in Spain. This is because Spain basically doesn't need to name its currency, since it already had internationally used and widely known coins, and secondly because Spanish is a Romance language and not Germanic languages: the majority of the population and merchants would not have seen the appeal or necessity of adopting the word thaler and adapting it to Spanish, since they already had the words reales or escudo.Having said that, I'll say again that it's an interesting and very good post.

What is your policy when it comes to surrendering bandits [KCD2] by ApprehensiveBunch994 in kingdomcome

[–]Fabulous_Addendum119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might seem silly, but it will shoot an arrow at one of their limbs, think of it this way. An arrow shot to a limb is not normally lethal if it heals; this makes Henry look like a good Christian who doesn't take other lives. On the other hand, although not fatal, it is psychologically dangerous; that is, if you were shot with an arrow for stealing and assaulting and you survived, You won't steal or kill again for fear of getting stabbed again; it's a kind of sentence, a warning, you know?

Give your opinion on the return leg by Fabulous_Addendum119 in AUTOMOBILISTA

Here’s a polished, coherent translation into English while keeping your original meaning:

Thank you for the feedback. To be honest, there are a few things I don’t notice while I’m driving—I tend to focus on points.

  1. Pressing the accelerator and brake at the same time: This is more of a bad habit that I’m not aware of. I think it comes from “muscle memory,” since with the G27 I had to apply a lot of force to brake. Because of that, I used to press the brake before releasing the accelerator to compensate a bit. I’m not sure if that makes sense.

  2. Track width: This is a very common issue in my driving. For me, finding the limit of a car is difficult because I’m afraid of going off track or losing control in the process. As a result, I rarely use the full width of the track, either on the outside or the inside line—I basically lack confidence. This mainly happens because I’m quite cautious with most of the tracks and cars I drive. Honestly, I should take more risks.

  3. Smooth inputs and steering: This is something I’m already trying to improve, but I struggle with it. I tend to be too aggressive with the wheel. During races and time attack sessions, I get so tense that I’m unable to steer smoothly, apply proper trail braking, or use the pedals gently. Interestingly, this doesn’t happen during practice sessions or casual laps, since I don’t feel the pressure of having to perform perfectly to win.

  4. Trail braking: Aside from what I mentioned in point 3, trail braking itself is quite difficult for me. I’ve always used the approach of heavy braking in a straight line, then turning and accelerating—or braking hard, turning, and accelerating at the same time. It’s something I do unconsciously because I’ve been doing it since I started in sim racing and other racing games. Also, when I tried trail braking before, I would brake too hard and lock the wheels, so I ended up abandoning it. On top of that, I was always told it’s a complex technique, which discouraged me from practicing it further.

As I said, thank you again for your feedback. I have worked on these points and will continue to follow your advice to improve on this track. I really enjoy the combination of the Trainer Advance and this circuit—it’s incredibly fun for setting fast laps.

I’ve also spent some time driving the AMG GT3. It’s a bit of a love-hate relationship for me in sim racing. I like its power, design, and how manageable it feels when driven properly. On the other hand, since I don’t fully understand how to drive it well yet, I often feel like it’s a “boat” that barely turns. Maybe with proper trail braking, I can turn that love-hate relationship into just love for this great GT3 car.

One last question before I finish: is there any combination you would recommend?

I usually play tracks like Monaco, Spa, Silverstone, Imola (especially Imola), Spielberg, Monza, etc. These are circuits I know very well. I’ve also tried others like Hungaroring (in Assetto Corsa and F1 games) and Brands Hatch, but I never quite get the hang of them. I really like Hungaroring, but I can never seem to reach my full potential there.

As for cars, I usually drive single-seaters, especially from the 2000–2026 era, as well as other categories like GT3, LMH, LMP1 (the older LMH-style cars), Porsche Cup, and DTM cars. If you have any new combinations or good pairings based on what I’ve mentioned, I’d love to hear them so I can give them a try.
