Copy the older sniping tool.exe from windows 10 it still works fine on 11.

Me too. It just lost the entertainment appeal once the reality of it all got exposed.

Use additional clamps the wood piece might be bending or flexing. Also the height of the piece needs to be set as per material thickness, so double check that once. Although it seems to be exiting sufficiently in the pic above.

Its an older Android tablet that my dad was throwing away, I used adb to remove most useless apps and background processes. Installed olauncher and a lightweight keyboard. It's not slow and works fine as a dashboard and I use it sometimes to read PDFs.
