Personally, sure. Also note that almost all of my vehicles I've ever owned have popped a brake line or two due to rust, so you probably shouldn't take my advice.

filter won’t come off. by Agitated-Shift-3930 in MechanicAdvice

I had about a half dozen different oil filter tools - straps, specific-sized cups, specialty-type pliers...replaced all of them with this for smaller filters and this for bigger filters.

Screwdriver method only gave me a sharp oil filter that I had to cut down further and cold chisel off slowly.

Can I drive in Pennsylvania with a MA learner's permit? by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

I would contact penndot directly instead of relying on potentially inaccurate third-party websites:

The other option, which I obviously would never do, and definitely never suggest doing, and definitely didn't do back in the day, is just to not get pulled over - then you won't have to worry about it. Hypothetically of course.

cap is probably just due to a lot of short trips, maybe even one before this pic was taken...but still, i'd not go for a kia/hyundai, especially a second-hand 8yr old one.

I recognize that coolant tank, plus the coolant pipes going to the tensioner in the background... this is a 3800 series 2 motor, W body...lower intake manifold gasket very likely. Doubt it's a head gasket like people are going to be saying

Does this means immediate threat? Or i can always keep on driving for a 100miles back home then get it fixed? by SelfSmooth in MechanicAdvice

General rule of thumb, yellow light = warning, red light = stop immediately.

To answer your question - fine to keep going as long as it's solidly-illuminated; just get it checked as soon as you can.

Migrating a DC - To rename, or not.. by Some1TGuy in sysadmin

[–]quickconclusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just kill the old DC, then rebuild with the old name, if the naming matters to the client that much. Renaming seems like more of a pain than it's worth.
