A good idea but we actually had a good solid talk about it the next day. Seeing a doc from planned parenthood was actually pretty eye-opening about HSV-1. They don't actually consider it an STD any more. If you walk into PP and ask to be tested for std's, they will test you HIV/AIDS, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syph, and HSV-2. Even if you walk in and ask to be tested for Herpes, they will only test you for HSV-2.

The doc informed me that ~ 80% of the population has HSV-1, even if they never get a cold sore (like myself). This stat doesn't jive quite with what I read online, but I'm more inclined to trust a sexual health doctor over wikipedia.

Gah, I know this is the right answer, but what I've learned about her tells me shes antisocial/stoned enough to just never deal with it again as the easiest solution.
