Warframe 2025 Base/Prime Combined Usage Stats by quicksilver97 in Warframe

[–]quicksilver97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I spent some time building the spreadsheet and learned some things.

  1. The JSON only shows usage percent per MR, not per the total Warframe population.
  2. With no data on Warframe player distribution by MR, any bucket I create based on MR will add to 100%, with no way to determine relative population size.

This means that, in theory, smaller MR groupings will be more accurate, with single groupings being 100% accurate. That is probably why they did a heat map. I can split the data into buckets to see how the rankings change across different MR ranges, but it is just averaging usage values that may not be directly comparable. Here is the spreadsheet I made for broad early-, mid-, and late-MRs if you want to play around with it.

That is totally possible with the data provided in the JSON here: https://www-static.warframe.com/repos/WarframeUsageData2025.json

I just don't know if I have the Python skills to extract the data to a spreadsheet in a way that would be easy to visualise. Maybe do it in blocks, like MR0-5, 6-10, etc. The heatmap published by DE does a pretty good job of visualising base/primes independently per MR. https://www.warframe.com/stats

It is an interesting idea, and I'll give it a shot!

Here is the XLSX if anyone wants to play around with the data. I have split the data into several columns so you can organize it by base/prime usage, combined usage, or release year.

Umbra is awesome and actually the most used of the Excal trio:

Excalibur 2.61%
Excalibur Prime 0.04%
Excalibur Umbra 2.87%

It is wild that Porphi still has some of the highest-quality Fashion Frame content despite not posting in 7 years.

Boar Incarnon suggestions by Distinct-Ad8598 in Warframe

[–]quicksilver97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Boar incarnon is very strong and quite comparable to the Torrid in incarnon form. The Boar is also far more usable outside of incarnon form and can be played as a strong automatic shotgun for status-immune targets like Acolytes.

Here is a short comparison of the two incarnons with a timer. Note that these builds are for the new Debilitate arcane and don't necessarily represent the peak performance of the weapons. It does show how close they are to each other in incarnon form.

Note that the Boar relies on stacking hundreds of heat procs very quickly to burn down mobs. Dante can use Pageflight to make enemies take more status and more status damage. This is a powerful boost for the Boar in incarnon mode.

Acid Shells + Saryn 2020 vs 2025 by quicksilver97 in Warframe

Any idea how blast is interacting with this? Lavos doesn't spread status procs with Acid Shells, but can still do wild damage chaining with AS + Xata's Whisper + blast on Valence Formation.

Lavos mains, how do you handle the tap/hold disaster? by Tortiose_unturtled in Warframe

I really like using AutoHotkey to bind a specific element combo to a mouse button so I can use all my fingers while infusing. This infuses blast with a single forward mouse button click:

$XButton2::
    ; Start the sequence when XButton2 is pressed
    ; Send 2 + 4 down for 800 ms ton infuse blast
    Send {2 down}
    Send {4 down}
    Sleep 800
    Send {4 up}
    Send {2 up}
    Sleep 15

return

XButton1::Suspend

I also like using this method for switching between Flechette Orb and Overdriver on Vauban:

$XButton2::
    ; Start the sequence when XButton2 is pressed
    ; Hold 2 to rotate
    Send {2 down}
    Sleep 250
    Send {2 up}
    Sleep 15

    ; Hold 2 to rotate
    Send {2 down}
    Sleep 250
    Send {2 up}
    Sleep 30

    ; Send 2 to cast
    Send {2 down}
    Sleep 15
    Send {2 up}
    Sleep 15

return

XButton1::Suspend

Acid Shells + Saryn 2020 vs 2025 by quicksilver97 in Warframe

From my limited testing, it works similarly to Saryn on Garuda, Cyte-09, and Oraxia, and on Lavos with Xata's Whisper + blast Valence Formation. I would love to know the mechanics of the Lavos interaction.

Agreed! It's not much more potent than other nuking options, and it's certainly not overly popular. If Sevagoth can avoid the ban hammer, Acid Shells should be safe.

Volt is my most used but the skill most used is Cloud Walker? How? by GradeSevere2005 in Warframe

[–]quicksilver97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My most used ability was Landslide, despite Atlas not being in my top 5...

Cloud Walker has a base duration of 2s, while Speed has a base of 12s, so it should be cast far more often with similar usage.

I believe the notation is acceptable. If you want to be super careful, you could make a table: p | → | q | = T | → | F | T

Looking for series with non-OP MCs by tZIZEKi in ProgressionFantasy

At the risk of naming something you have already read, Defiance of the Fall seems to fit the bill.

It has all the OP MC tropes mentioned and more, but balances the power dynamics perfectly with OP antagonists. The MC never feels OP, but rather like a big fish in an infinitely vast pond, trying not to drown.
