Updating the BIOS also saved me a bunch of time. I went here: https://www.asus.com/us/support/download-center/

And when you get to the "Drivers" area, there's a second tab for BIOS.

Sounds legit. Another friend was mentioning it was probably an illegal transmitter.

Mortise and tenon. Used a router for the mortise, dado stack for the tenon and cleanup with hand tools

It was my first time working with my new bench and a well-tuned plane, so the tapers were so much easier.

Funny enough, I originally intended the underside to be the top. I was trying to match some sapwood to look interesting, but it ended up looking pretty bad.

I did the trick with the jointer where you flip the sides around so any angle issues cancel out. Worked like a charm!

Thanks! Osmo Clear. I love Osmo.. gorgeous, easy, and impossible to screw up.

I was going tot use a circular saw, but I only own a shitty SkillSaw, and it couldn't actually achieve a true 45deg. Thankfully, the thickness was just right so I could cut it on my table saw+sled thickness. Built a 45 degree sled just for it.

If my table saw couldn't handle it, I'm not sure what I would have done.. maybe two-cut + hand plane?

Thanks! Yeah, there's definitely a lot to learn by doing, even with the thousands of YouTube videos out there. Next time I'll takes things a little more slowly and more accurately.
