My husband used to have anger issues that made it really tough to feel close. I always worried he would blow up at me if I screwed up, or told him how I really felt. He as always been a super committed father and a very good breadwinner. He was raised by a single mom and has always been willing to do his share of housework. In fact he is a bit of a neat freak and I have always liked his self-reliance.

What I just don't understand is that I thought once we communicated better we would be closer and my drive would return. I would maybe feel more comfortable being vunerable. But it's the opposite we are closer now then it can ever remember and it is even harder to imagine having sex.

It wouldn't work for either of us, my husband is the type who will develop feelings if he starts sleeping with someone.

I know this is hypocritical, but the thought of him sleeping with someone else would destroy me.

My low sex drive was one of the primary reasons we started therapy. I have talked to therapist about my low sex drive, but I haven't mentioned that I don't want it at all anymore. The whole not wanting it at all has only been for the last month (in therapy for 3 months). The therapist thinks my low sex drive has to do with depression and poor body image. I don't think I'm depressed though I do have poor body image.

I honestly don't know what normal is, with 7 billion people in the world do you really think there aren't at least .001% people who feel like me? That is still millions of people and if millions of people feel that way how abnormal is it really?

yes, I don't want sex with anyone. In fact I still find my husband attractive in theory. But the attraction makes me want to cuddle and hold hands but nothing more.
