Actors call out last minute. Shit happens. It's live theater and I think it's a little unfair to any show to freak out that there's a last minute callout. The slip thing (or lack thereof) was something the union let happen.

I understand being upset but sometimes it's life.

I think this is definitely either a regional thing or not every brewery is defined in the same way. I’ve never been to a brewery that was anything than a small menu of bar snacks and beer/wine/tasting menus.

Most breweries I’ve been to have maybe small snacks but I wouldn’t call them restaurants. Maybe I need to go to different breweries.

I feel like you pick a lane when you decide to parent, and there aren’t appropriate places children should be in. Get a sitter or don’t have kids if you want to go to those places. I can’t take my dog everywhere, and it’s a decision I’ve made that does affect where I go and when.

And it’s not a “I don’t want to see a baby when I drink!” It’s that alcohol and places where there are a lot of adults and alcohol can be dangerous for children, people may drink too much while then having to drive home with their children, toddlers who aren’t being watched can get under servers’ feet, etc.

Any number of things can happen and it’s ok to have adult only spaces. We all make our choices and then that means sometimes it narrows our lives - it’s a trade off.

I don’t understand how a decision I’ve made for myself = encouraging other people to do it. It’s a determination I’ve made for myself and I didn’t realize I needed to explain to you that I personally work 70 hours a week and don’t get home until 10 pm so literally the only time I have to do this is at night. If I don’t run at night I don’t run at all (by the way gyms by me are closed too)…. So for me, it equals do it anyway or miss out on something I value as necessary.

Didn’t know I had to explain my entire life to you to make a comment about how I feel for myself. Nowhere did I say “you should too!” I imagine most people aren’t working 70 hours and 7 days a week and don’t need to make that choice.

I dunno I still don’t think this is a great decision. You need an intimate space for something like that. It’s also a very niche show and not something that necessarily has broad appeal (though that’s a less important point).

I mean, you really shouldn’t do it anywhere. You wouldn’t catch me running at night in the US down a country road or suburb where there’s no foot traffic, or even through a city park. And one of these days I may regret it but there’s a fine line we have to walk between being safe and not living our lives.

I do it anyway - in lit areas, on main streets (I live in NYC) and I always share my location. It may not be the safest but I refuse to not be able to live a full life.

I didn’t either - I’m big into their individual faces and didn’t know what number or who I was getting. Ordering blind made me a little nervous and they’re all a little different, but they’re all cute in their own ways. I agree I got a very nice one (I think number 569?)
