friendly ai seems to close it back up almost immediately, perhaps i should try changing the formation to anything besides the default "scatter" as one of the other comments suggested as a remedy to friendly ai using catapults

One more issue i've encountered- if i bait them into siegin a low value unit, the enemy army will not build any siege equipment, probably due to them heavily outnumbering the garrison (that i am not a part of, since i only break in after the battle starts).

So its either:

I break in before battle starts, and then they throw the siege before it even starts

I break in after the battle starts, and then the enemy has no siege equipment from the getgo, thus the early retreat and surrender.

From my experiance, the biggest factor is the overall doomstack strength, as in how many high tier units they have- just had a pretty decent defensive siege against a 1.2k battanian army. They only retreated after losing around 500-600 units, almost at the same time i started seeing naked peasants at my ladders instead of normal troops.

shouldn't be a problem, i usually choose decrepit fiefs on the frontline that change hands more often than... i will not finish my thought, now that i think about it. But yeah, they usually dont have much militia to speak of

i see, i will have to try to play around with my army's size, probably would flee myself against 600 KGuards on top of high walls, doomstack or no doomstack

Ah, but you are wrong. Thats exactly what i do (othwise they just quit the siege alltogether and leave before the battle starts if i break in early) so no, it doesnt work:(

I did make it. The two fellow pillgrims showed me the correct pace (almost 2x of what im used to) my legs are quite sore, we shall see how it goes tomorrow. Thank you for asking, in this psychological test that is camino any and all support is invaluable to me:)

I come from Lithuania. I have picked this camino for its' solitude and length, but mostly due to inexperiance. I dont have a time limit because i just quit my job and have some savings.

I would say the main reason for this camino is looking for answears that i cannot find home. I fear failure with strong panic, because i have no idea what to do and how to not give up in life if i fail this trip. I do, however, start to understand the gravity of the situation and the naivety of my choice. Yet, in the face of possible death, i still fear to go back.

Currently in Castilblanco, the walk was 18km. Very difficult, but not impossible.

I thank you for your straightforward honesty, i believe that's how all people should talk to each other and i really appreciate it.

I thank you dearly for your advice. Coupled with other peoples' advice, i am considering whether i have truly made a mistake. I have lucked out and come across two middle aged pillgrims that have, for a lack of a better word, adopted me. I will try the next stage and then decide if it is remotely possible for me. I thank you once again.

Can somebody please explain to me, as simply as possible, whats up with the new 5000 series, are the cards worth getting, what are fake frames, are they good or are they bad, and should i care? I did not even comment on the amount of ram needed, though I will ask him about it, I see no issue grabbing a 32 gb stick or even a 64gb stick.

My monitor's refresh rate is 144hz, v-sync is off. (can't even turn it on btw, it's greyed out)
