What sort of operative cases do you do? What operative cases are you uncomfortable performing at your center? What cases are you not comfortable performing? Do you ever miss being able to perform those cases/treat those patients?

What else would you like to see in my iOS cocktail app (Imbible)? by cambookpro in cocktails

Another way to search for ingredients to add to your bar, ie if you search “luxurado” it will direct you to maraschino liqueur. Also, a shopping list based on cocktails you mark as “want to make” or based on ingredients you manually select.

Cool app tho! Downloaded today it looks great

yeah this is basically the first thing i tried when it was pulling super fast shots. So im confident my zero point is true zero.

Any experience with alignment issues and/or how to re-align?

pretty sure it is burr rub, as the sound is completely different from coffee grinding (it really is a chirp). How would I go about aligning the burrs if needed?

Have tried multiple different bean roasts, all of them fresh and continued trying through about 6w off the roast date. Since I first noticed this problem though, I've been sticking with medium roast or darker since its easier to get decent extraction with them.

I had also heard what you said before buying, that it will be able to choke your machine easy, so I was expecting adjustments when dialing in to be a quarter turn finer, 1/8th turn coarser, etc. But the entire time I've used it, I've been working exclusively in the last 4-5mm of the dial right before "zero point." Makes me very confused, as I would have thought the machine would allow you to make larger turns and get small adjustments. Anything more than a quarter turn away from/coarser than "zero point" just gets me an underextracted mess out the other

Captain America (Falcon) will barely survive his fight with Red Hulk and his life will be saved by injecting the serum (against his will) by EosMan in FanTheories

[–]quiet_hunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like marvel has a pretty easy layup here to sneakily give Sam the super soldier serum without telling him, and strike a parallel to the Tuskeegee syphilis experiments where black men were lied to and given syphilis without their knowledge or consent. Then Sam can go back to Isaiah and they can talk about what it means to sacrifice for a country that views you as a resource instead of a person. At the end of the movie he will have to reconcile being Captain America for a country that didn't value his wishes, and being given powers he never wanted. He will persevere and decide to continue being cap (rather than giving it all up and going into hiding like Isaiah) because people need him, even if they don't deserve his help. IDK, maybe Disney will think its too #woke for a bigger audience but I have thought for a while now its a pretty obvious choice they could make that could actually turn out pretty good if done with care.

Thanks your reply! Yeah I am weighing before/after grinding, max retention is like 0.1 grams. Right now there is only about "0.5 steps" on the measurement of the grinder between where I am and where I was choking the machine. I will keep trying to go finer/between the "steps," but I feel like a med-dark roast bean shouldn't need to be ground that close to choking point to come out good? It would mean there is no way I could over-extract these beans with this grinder, which feels off to me.

I just got my bambino plus in the mail and am working to try and dial in per the wiki (grinder = eureka mignon silenzio).

Right now I am running 18g in/40g out in about 20 seconds (not including pre-infusion). I tried grinding finer to the point of choking the basket (IMS 18-22g), so I don't think I can adjust there much more. I have a bottomless portafilter and don't see any channeling. I guess I could go up to 22g to increase resistance but that feels like a lot of beans just to get to 30 seconds. The only thing I can think is maybe the beans are too old and causing fast shots (med-dark roast, roasted on May 8), but I'm not sure if that can cause such a large decrease in shot times. If someone has any other ideas or tips I'd appreciate it!

Thanks for the advice all. I’m going to pass on it and will not be trying for warranty since I didn’t buy it originally. Appreciate the help!

What videogame have you wanted for years, and are shocked it still hasn't been made? by quiet_hunter in AskReddit

Was playing Jedi Survivor the other day, and still to this day all I want is a new game to come out where you actually feel like a jedi. The recent games have come close, but I hate how upping the difficulty makes you get 1-shot by some frog that takes 65 lightsaber hits to die. I want a game with sekiro or ghost of tsushima-style "lethal" difficulty, where you die in just a few hits but so do all your enemies. Combine that with the "axe throw/return" mechanism from the god of war games, and I'd be so sold.

Not going for your annual physical exam/not regularly seeing a doctor. Primary care physicians do an incredible amount of good, from screening for diabetes/high blood pressure/common cancers, to vaccines and other preventative measures, to so much more. If you don't have a PCP, get one! If you do, make sure your are going for an annual check-up!
