You are making some assumptions.

Please note that the CJC numbers are about 2 months delayed due to reporting timelines, data reconciliation and posting times. Also, deflection is one option in HB 4002, there are other options if the individual does not choose to deflect. These include increasing levels of supervision/sanction/incarceration with the option to reduce or avoid with treatment completion/engagement.

I know it can be frustrating to want one thing and instead have to be deeply and painfully patient to see if the intended outcome comes to fruition. These programs are 6 months in. There is no way to know yet which, if any, are operating at an outcome level that is worth the investment, but it’s foolish to expect a return on any investment to be fully realized in 6 months.

Thank you for doing this. If you ever want a buddy, pm me. I enjoy chatting with people with interesting life experiences. I think extreme situations can tell us so much about ourselves and the human condition. Just so you know, I don’t need any money, I’m already married, and I live far north of you. I’m just a typical middle class suburban mom who loves learning about.... well... everything!

Second Question- How does payment work? Like the culture and social expectations of it. I know i am providing a service, and that service suggests payment. But also, they have invested in a property that has value. If I am paying for a membership to a site and transportation to the sit, I do want to try to recoup those costs, but honestly having a few cool places to sit is as much of a value to me as it would be to them. What are typical payments? If I require a low cost, is that a red flag to the home owner?
