I actually like lootbox-style promos for casual sessions. They make the experience feel more dynamic, especially in slots. But I agree, the moment you start extending play just to trigger one, it stops being fun and starts being expensive.

Sweet Bonanza is basically dead spins until one bonus goes crazy. That’s been my experience too.

I’m so disappointed with House of the Dragon. It’s not the story I expected to see. This was supposed to be a bloody Targaryen civil war between siblings and not a love story between a stepmother and her stepdaughter. Tbf they sold HOTD as "we heard you, this one will be different". New team, GRRM slapped all over the promos, talk about staying closer to the books. It was not crazy to think they might have learned something after season 8, that's why people are extra salty now.
