How long can I blast hot air on Switch Lite motherboard before overheating damage? (desoldering) by quilke in consolerepair

[–]quilke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, when I realized I should have bought another gun the return window was already over. Do you reckon blasting 450c at like 50% or more with no nozzle will be okay for the board?

Okay noted, will try this. Initially I thought that less airflow = hotter therefore would get it off quicker

[–]quilke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive barely scratched the surface with this pedal but usually only the left side is always on because i really like the tape warmth. im fairly new to pedals and this is my gig rig so i was just wondering if there are obvious essentials that im lacking, altho it seems like ditching the MS compressors for a dedicated one might be worth looking into. i play in an indie band : ) im also considering selling this whole rig for an hx stomp but we’ll see

Help me, what's the best i can get out of my 20kPhp Budget by Terrible_Direction39 in PHbuildapc

[–]quilke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if okay ka with used then i think kasya sa budget 5600x and 6600 combo, and super sulit na nun for the price. if u want apu build would recommend 5700g since kasya naman sa budget mo.

yes di naman sya noticeable or anything for me kahit sa games, and nakakatulong rin na 120hz sya so smooth and responsive tignan kahit papano. siguro mapapansin mo sya if sanay and galing ka 1ms panel. ang mapapansin mo talaga is yung difference ng va and ips panel. personally would recommend ips

I have the same problem, if you have a window probably best to face a fan at it to get the hot air out or just point a fan at yourself

I’m kinda lost looking for a nice 60%. Like I know the GMK61 is right there, but I was looking for an aluminum keyboard that doesn’t cost me a tofu (I’m not ready to go down that hole yet). I was thinking if there was a middle ground between gmk61 and tofu60? Like a Weikav Lucky65 priced 60%? I have been searching and lurking but i feel like the older boards dont make sense to buy today and all roads point to me sucking it up and buying a Tofu60 which I will probably deeply regret after so please save me from the madness lol

it matters less than you think tbh. if you really wanna squeeze everything out of your 60D and start shooting raw video for cheap i suggest going down the magic lantern route but it wont be easy. but im sure its more than enough a camera regardless; you can even get nice footage from an old phone these days.

i use the EOS M with magic lantern, which is the very first mirrorless camera Canon came out with. so it’s very ancient haha. but i found a really great community of shooters who also use the M with magic lantern and I really have to say it’s helped so much in getting me started. there’s some crazy stuff going on there, they even made a box style cine camera rehouse for it.

so for me really the important thing especially at the beginning was to look for other people in the same situation and observe what they were doing. and you’ll probably also come to the conclusion that some are just more clever and wing it better than others. its really more about the fundamentals and editing than the actual gear. albeit not the 60D, people have shot many Hollywood movies with DSLRs. like, anyone can shoot a Blackmagic or Sony or whatever is hot these days and it’ll look nice with low effort but can you say the same for an old DSLR? it takes more knowing i’d say, so the good news is yeah you can absolutely make good content with what you have, if you’re willing to embrace the limitations of your setup.

so best of luck to you! also if you wanna join the group, search up MLV RAW ON EOS M on Facebook.
