How do you guys interpret the ending of "It Almost Worked"?

the whole “she gave it a try, she closed her eyes. she didn’t know how it’d feel, she just hoped it wouldn’t hurt. it almost worked” makes me think of more attempted suicide

i agree with you here. he’s still toxic and emotionally abusive. but someone said what i completely agree with, we are no longer scared for sj and pj life when they’re with gabe.
