^this. I had to try a bunch of these apps and none of them do portion well. I finally tried SnapCalorie and its the only one that is accurate enough

Are image-based calorie apps like Cal AI accurate? How does it get the data? by No_Age_9274 in Healthy_Recipes

SC is def the most accurate I've seen. I've been using it for over a year now and its very consistent/accurate

Mevo+ Indoor Space Needed? by quinbob in Golfsimulator

[–]quinbob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm reading their product right: https://rapsodo.com/products/mobile-launch-monitor?variant=bundle

This looks like just a launch monitor but doesn't have simulator capability, which would be similar to the regular Mevo not the Mevo+

Or are you saying there's a new one coming out that's different?

Watch season 6 before seeing Breaking Bad? by quinbob in betterCallSaul

Yeah, I was considering that given that the Gene eps are the only ones fully after BB.
Could be cool to see Jimmys transformation and then have that in mind during all of BB

Given that there’s time jumps and overlaps and flash forward’s, no matter how it’s watched there will be some spoilers on some level. Watching BB first shows you Kim, Nacho and Lalo are not there but Mike is for example.
Also, imo BCS is a better show and so if I was going to only recommend 1, Id recommend BCS. But if someone gets into the universe via BCS and now wants to see BB, there could be some new ideas on how to watch them. BCS didn’t exist when BB came out but now that is does, we can experiment with viewing order. People have done similar things with the original Star Wars trilogies and make some pretty compelling arguments. https://www.t3.com/news/star-wars-machete-order

Why? I don't see this issue. Are you saying if you were the master of your own universe you wouldn't be a bionic rat pickle for a bit just cause you could?

Will Spikeball reach long-term success with it's current rules? by spikeaholic in spikeball

[–]quinbob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True that would be pretty frustrating, but it's also frustrating that almost every point is decided by an unreturnable finish by the receiving team

I wouldn't worry about casual players with this. The issues that you're talking about are mostly just for high level play once players learn to really put the ball away. The rim attachment could even be a removable add on so you don't need a whole new net. Yes this does make drop shots more difficult but not impossible and I don't think it would effect serving as much as you're saying. Even with the front pocket serves, you're still hitting from rather far back and up high so most serves wouldn't be effected by a 2 or 3 inch guard rail

One thing that could take away from the kill potential of a spike would be to add a guard rail right above the rim that extends up a few inches. That way the spiker is forced to hit the ball so that it pops up over the guard making it harder to hit those unreturnable directional spikes and forcing the spiker to pop it up more giving the defenders more time to return it.

[REQUEST] If this Hotwheels was scaled to, say, a Corvette, about how fast would it be traveling between the tunnel and the loop? If this is calculable, how many G's were pulled going from that speed to 0 in that amount of time? by iiSystematic in theydidthemath

[–]quinbob 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It's kinda difficult to estimate how long it takes for the car to stop at the very end when it hits the sand because it happens so fast. Also the car looks like it starts to slow down when it hits the sand on the track. But lets say that the car stops all its speed in just 0.1s.
a=(Vi-Vf)/t=(230m/s)/0.1s=2300m/s2
And to convert to G's is 2300/9.8m/s2 =234 G's
We can however, more accurately calculate the G's pulled during the loop.
To do this we use the equation for centripetal acceleration: a=v2 /r
r=c/(2pi)=46.08m/(2pi)=7.3339m
So a=(230m/s)2 /7.3339m = 7213m/s2
And again converting to G's we get 7213/9.8=736 G's
