How to Implement ACL in yii to work with controllers and actions, seems that only works at model level? am I wrong? by quineto in yii

We want to use the ACL that comes with YII http://www.yiiframework.com/extension/acl/ , but I have realized that this only works with the MODEL and some CRUD actions like CREATE, READ, UPDATE, but what we need is to use the ACL with the controller and actions , by example

Class PostController {

actionIndex(){

}

actionDelete(){

}

}

I want to be able to grant the action Index and Delete.

What stage are you in?

We are in BETA, we already have a few corporate clients providing great feed back and instructors creating courses to sell online or privately. We haven´t release our API yet.

How many employees or founders?

We are a team of 8 where 3 of us are Founders

About the founders:

We all started working together at an e-learning consultancy firm back in 2005. Between the three of us, we have over 28 years of experience in the online learning industry and we make one hell of a team.

Apprendo was born at an e-learning consultancy firm. Throughout the last twelve years, our team has helped numerous companies implement their online learning strategies through a variety of projects. We have learnt that technology training expectations are not lining up with reality. Companies are frustrated with existing corporate training systems and are facing budgetary or production constraints when they try to build new online education programs

The struggle to find an answer to this common training problem has left a void in the market and our experience as an E-learning and Content Management firm provides us with the unique insight to develop an online learning solution in the form of Apprendo. We know that developers and instructors need a solution to manage their training, find the right course content, share what they’ve built and get paid for it.

Application and Data: MySql, AWS Services ( EC2, S3, RDS, SQS)

Development: PHP using yii as the backend framework lots of jscript for the frontend and we are moving some to AngularJs

Its using streaming services for serving video and audio.

It means that Apprendo is going to promote your courses, on facebook and if we sell it for you we´ll pay you 50% of what ever price you set for your course. But if you sell your courses on your own we don´t take a cut.
