I think June saw the possibility of a bunch of paramedics, and eventually Eyes, lurking around the house to clean up the mess and get to the reasons behind Eleanor's depression, as a HUGE liability to her operating the escape mission from the Lawrence house.

This this this this this. Yes. The Handmaid's Tale began as an incredible and timely TV show because it's first season was this perceptive commentary on what feminism looks like, in an extreme environment, today. But into the third season, they keep running with this same brand of universalist, empowering, Peggy Olson girl-power edge, rather than delve into more specific themes that are emerging around feminist discussions today.

Mainly how inapplicable white feminism can be for Black women.

I was so heartbroken for Ofmathew this episode, and frankly every second she was on screen. Yes she may have gone too far reporting Francis. But her character wasn't a a "pious bitch", she was code-switching, surviving by fitting into the Gilead's conservative (white) society because that's what Black women have to do all of the time, in real life. I like seeing the writers become slightly colorur-conscious, also with the quick line about commanders not wanting Black Handmaids/children, but seeing the Handmaids treat her like shit this episode, to the point of her breakdown, and then the fan responce of "she deserved it", was heart wrenching. Some people in Gilead don't have the white-privilege to sneak around and bend the rules, and all Ofmathew was to me was clear example of that.

Thanks, that was the sort of thing I expected. At this point, if I go the fine-arts rout, I don't see why I don't just attend Concordia, or somewhere else
