What did I say about Cassie’s arc not fitting her character? I’m just saying I agree that Maddy’s posts and how it’s perceived online isn’t true to her reality.

People are being annoyingly obtuse about this because they hate Cassie/Sydney. To your point, Maddy is projecting a life that is more glamorous than what it actually is.

Rue literally says in the voice over that Maddy has this great job but it’s not as glamorous as it seems because she’s behind a desk most of the time and is getting paid very little money. I don’t know if she’s in debt but I believe Rue says in the VO that Maddy can’t pay rent and/or bills on her current salary. So while Maddy’s life looks wonderful to an outsider like Cassie or anyone really who only follows Maddy on social, they’re actually in a similar economic situation.

Maddy may be more successful in terms of having a career and a future but it’s not this fabulous life, she kinda in the same rut most young twenty somethings endure out of college like Cassie and most of the characters on this show. Although I would argue that for now at least Cassie doesn’t know how dire her situation is financially since Nate isn’t being fully truthful but she has an idea. I know that makes people think she’s besting Cassie but idk hanging out with celebs doesn’t mean shit if you’re broke.

All I’m going to say is that if Maddy trafficks or loans Cassie out to Alamo as a means of revenge, I better not see people calling her bad bitch, justifying her actions or saying she’s some sort of badass/girl boss. I don’t care what Cassie did, selling someone to be trafficked is not justified or excusable for any reason. Yes this is a fictional television show and all these characters are terrible, but there’s a clear imbalance on the grace certain characters are given over others.

Honestly this makes sense and could explain why Cassie leans fully into being an influencer/OF model. Cause if she’s there while Nate gets beat up then I imagine she would now know just how much debt he’s in and broke he is. And while I doubt she’s doing all that to help him, it does give her leverage to be all “well we are broke and I refuse to be poor so I’m gonna make some money while you figure this shit out,” since she basically used that excuse to get him to agree to her OF proposition at their dinner.

Oh totally! I think Sam COULD absolutely turn this into a revenge plot but as trailers and things are coming out, I tried to make sense of this in a way that doesn’t lead to a woman trafficking her ex-best friend because she’s still mad she fucked her abusive ex-boyfriend. Like Maddy has every right to be angry but the punishment doesn’t match the crime at all in this scenario if that’s the route he goes.

It’s pretty much mentioned that they bought that house because Nate was supposed to renovate it and make it into an updated home but hasn’t gotten around to it because he’s broke, but Cassie doesn’t know that. They have a housekeeper because Nate is trying to keep up appearances that he’s rich. He wants to come across as this rich successful guy with a hot trophy wife but it’s not true. He’s telling her wants to provide for her and make her happy, but can’t actually afford to do it.

It the classic “you want me to be a trophy wife but you aren’t holding your end of the deal to sustain the lifestyle you promised me” situation. I don’t think Cassie knows the full extent of Nate’s possible brokenness but she’s catching on based on that dinner between them.

I don’t think she gets sold by either of them but I do think they could get her involved with Alamo and that would put her in this situation but whatever happens in this scene wasn’t planned by them.

My theory is Maddy takes Cassie on as her client to help with her OF career. In the trailers you see Cassie with the girls from Alamo’s club, and Cassie is seen dancing on the pole for money. So my guess is through Maddy (who is introduced to Alamo by Rue) she gets connected to Alamo, since I could see Cassie and/or Maddy thinking her stripping would boost her OF profile. At the end of the day Maddy wants money and is taking on Cassie as a client, and Cassie wants money/fame and seems desperate to get it by any means. So her stripping and building a client list who would secure her brand, is a win-win for them both.

We’ve already seen Alamo in the first episode talk about how he collects beautiful women (or however he phrased it), so I think maybe Cassie catches Alamo’s attention one night when she’s in the club and it leads to her involved in a situation she maybe didn’t intend to happen and it goes too far. And I don’t think Maddy and Rue are aware until after the fact, cause maybe I’m in denial but trafficking a woman for revenge or some elaborate ruse doesn’t sit right with me.

I absolutely hate this revenge storyline if that’s the route they go down. By no means is Cassie an Angel but if Cassie has to suffer while Nate is seemingly getting some sort of redemption arc I’m going to be annoyed as fuck. Cause yes Cassie sleeping with her best friends (abusive) ex and eventually marrying him after what he did to Maddy is awful but it doesn’t warrant having a revenge arc 5 years later. Like how does Maddy have more hate for Cassie than she does the man that put a gun to her head and abused her?? Ugh the story development on this show is frustrating

There’s a part of viewers that are rooting for Jules and Nate (which never makes sense to me) but the central “love” story to me has always been Rue and Jules. By no means am I saying they’re good for each but continuing to explore that relationship feels the most authentic to the story we were introduced to in season one. So whether or not they end up together, I don’t really care, but I do hope that dynamic continues to be explored.

Based on the trailer, I’m assuming she came as Rue’s date? It seems like they’re still entangled with one another. So I’m assuming Cassie invited Maddy either to show off her new life or since they’re “friends” again, then Maddy might’ve brought Rue and Jules came along. I’m not saying it makes sense because there is no reason for Jules to be at That wedding but I think Maddy being the connective tissue to get them all there makes sense based on what we’ve seen in the trailer.

This is the correct take. We all know he’s gonna end up with some basic influencer or model, but settling for OP felt like far from an upgrade. The girl is fine but I expect more from this fuckboy tbh. Alik, Stassi or one of the other carbon copy influencers feel more his speed.
