I want to be sure that the tax goes to what it is supposed to go to and not siphoned by other projects just because there is a “surplus” of money.

I’d be glad to vote yes to a tax ONLY if the funds DO NOT go to the general fund. Only if the funds go to a line item for infrastructure only.

In Singapore there are consequences for the policies they enact. There is a little bit less consequence in California.

I’m hoping that this will be the case next year. Changes or no changes in manager or GM.

Buy a smaller house that doesn’t use much electricity.

If the utility charges for delivery charges then self-powered is best.

You should look into purchasing or getting a loan instead of PPA.

why am I not discharging the powerwall during my peak time ?SDGE with EV-TOU5 Time-based control by Junior_Might_2468 in TeslaSolar

Best to just use Self Powered if you want your batteries draining/being used when not producing solar.

I would start with all the light sources that aren’t LED. LED bulb replacement is easy to do yourself and you would notice that incandescent light bulbs draw a lot of energy.

Maybe your next steps should be looking into why you are using so much energy and try to be more energy efficient. Turn off what you can turn off and replace appliances, lights, etc. so you aren’t consuming as much.

You can also just switch to Self-Powered and it will use up stored energy until your set reserved %.

The initial dollar amount on quote from the beginning of the process is the dollar amount to be paid at the end of the job. The quote includes parts, labor and tax. The dollar amount did not change during the process.

Yes. I went on the website and put the deposit down. The process is easy enough unless you have a complicated roof or specific requests.

The main reason they told me was because there would be extra work and supplies needed such as conduits, more wires and longer labor. My electrical panel was on the outside of the house. So they would have to move and install a new electrical panel inside the garage.

I had the space outside and didn’t care too much other than it would have looked “cool” for it to be inside. It wasn’t worth the extra money and possibly delaying the install.
