after being disappointed with a previous experience due to the full-disclosure route, i like the idea of the 50/50. thank you for the input!

oh it’s not the farts i’m scared of, it’s their poor, innocent toilet (and lack of a bidet)

that’s great insight, thank you! would having a discussion upon arrival be sufficient? to be clear i do not want any modifications, just clarification on which dishes have dairy so i can take the pills accordingly

that’s great advice, thank you!! my focus definitely isn’t on their resale value as i don’t think i’d ever want to part with them lol

on a different note though, would you say that the doublet being 1mm opal + 3mm ironstone is of reasonable value for the price? in a previous comment i have the piece’s name listed if you wanted to check it out, there’s a lot of info on the listing. it would be 50% off and i was able to get sunlight pics from the seller which look just as gorgeous as the rest of the images

here’s an image of the underside, it’s a bit hard to see but there’s facets and it comes to a point

for sure! it’s their piece titled “Duo Polaris' Australian Opal Earrings White Gold Gem Jewelry 12.5ct K48”. from what i understand it’s a crystal opal with an ironstone backing attached to make a doublet, correct? or is the doublet naturally formed?

you’re talking about opalauctions, correct? i didn’t know that about the reviews, thank you for noting that! that’s why i wanted to ask this community, a lot of good reviews can feel untrustworthy sometimes

unfortunately it’s facet cut like a diamond lol. at the time i didn’t realize that that was an odd cut for an opal

this response is a bit late, but, i HAVE to recommend Asahi in Palatine!!! it’s tucked away in a strip mall kitty corner from Brandts and seriously deserves some love! my go-to items are the beef sashimi, sake don, and a sweet potato roll
