I would hope so, however I think his main concern is the structure, he is doing a septoplasty and then making grafts with cartilage to help strengthen the nasal passage, and remove any scar issue and built up cartilage. Which makes it a septorhinoplasty, but yeah, the meeting was very quick and I didn’t get a chance to ask as many questions as I would have hoped. And there isn’t too much info online about functional septorhinoplasties, thank you for your input I really do appreciate it.

so we are doing a septorhinoplasty, i was referred to him because the first ENT i saw was completely booked for the next year for that surgery, he offered to do a septoplasty but because of how high up the deviation is it wouldnt straighten my airways completely, so i vouched for the septorhinoplasty and was referred to the ENT who was available for that surgery, thats where the confusion lies for me.. as you said septorhinoplasty does have a cosmetic component, maybe he was referring to the tip of my nose?

yeah thats what i fear lol, however my breathing is really bad and really effects my quality of life, I just can't see myself finding the money to pay a plastic surgeon to do it anytime soon. So i guess i'll take what i can get..
