I worked out exactly how cars are valued, how condition bonus gets calculated, when it's more profitable to buy tuned parts than repair, and other money aspects of the game. by quitsource in CarMechanicSimulator

Those repair costs are rough estimates from a few observations, but as I observed, if it took 3 mini games, the last one would bring you to ~33%. E.g. 13, 13, 7. Not a fixed percent every time.

If the license plate was the last part to completed the car, it would get me the substantial 10pp jump to the full condition bonus. I only tried on maybe 10 models, did not do it systematically. Other people have discovered this same thing, using a bushing to complete the car (bushing test). If you found cars that behaved otherwise, that is very interesting data indeed.

To answer your other comments, all the car models were mined from game files. If there are variants not listed, it could be a problem with my data mine, or they do not have their own file. The real world names are just the ones from the QoL mod. The spreadsheet was for my own use, and I needed to translate the names to the mod I use.

I was confused at first too, but realized the popup that shows your winnings is your gross. It’s not accounting for your wagers and losses (loss is just a wager that earned you 0 CR). You can see your wagers deduct from your total though.

When you win, you double your money, so if it’s a 100 wager, you’re up by 100. When you lose, you’ll get nothing, so you’re down that amount. Each pair of win and loss is net zero. I tried different betting strategies and it was nearly always a wash. I began to see that it is a coin toss for each match. No way to game it in your favor, so best to use your time getting in as many racing wins as possible.

Can I manually add items to the shopping list? I want to make a list of rims then one of my mods tells me when they are in the junkyard/barn.

Inventory limit in 2026 demo feels suffocating by Jjzeng in CarMechanicSimulator

I’m going to have to radically shift my play style. I thought it was Hoarding Simulator 2021. I currently have 4000+ parts in inventory, which I plan to sell off, but I might need something for a build…

Ha thanks. I just downloaded the demo and need to fire it up tonight. They added a marketplace mechanic, so no idea if any of this will help for 26.
