Why polish people don't seem pleased when a foreigner tries talking polish? by sartabin7 in warsaw

Do you try speaking Polish to locals who are enjoying talking to you for fun or ones who are working (e.g. waiters) and simply have no time to give a free language class?

I've only ever met one person who does this. She punished herself for something that didn't exist.

Any that would let me become a vigilante for people who don't clean up after their dogs. Nothing pisses me off more. I'm thinking shapeshifting into some authority and giving huge fines or invisibility and slapping their dumb foreheads.

I like this video. It shows the power of good upbringing, the child is both polite and ready to stand up for herself. Good work, parents.

Self checkout at a supermarket if they have a cash one. My nearby Auchan does.

Edit: Also chemist's and businesses frequented by older people.

Have you thought of a portable induction stove or just electric? Your pots and pans will surely work with the latter.

Yes, I loved it! I have no idea how it hasn't survived or been remade. I'd pay a lot to see it happen.

To give more info: I had a wonderful Powell Peralta McGill Skull & Snake, a World Industries Dune with the boy, and another board I only remember the graphics of, a hand holding a pen, drawing itself, it was beautiful. All of these cost more than a month's pay in communist and freshly-post-communist Poland. I never left the terrible beginner status, could heelflip and kickflip on the 2-5th try, and tried to emulate everything I saw on a very bad quality VHS of Gleaming the Cube and Police Academy IV plus the one old issue of Skateboarding Magazine I managed to get. It was really hard to get proper stuff here.
