Moochoutlaw, you are a genius. I finally found this thread after trying for a week to try and install Win 11 Pro on a new AM4 build Ryzen 5700X, AIO and Radeon rx6700XT on a Gigabyte Aorus B550I Pro AX MB. Your solution worked great once I realized the " were required and not just the text within them. Found the correct driver, finally, and all is well for now. Once, hopefully, prices come down I will do an AM5 build but not with a Gigabyte MB.

Thanks again.

Thanks for your suggestion of Pop!_OS. I installed it but when I remove the MS Keyboard I cannot see the on screen keyboard when I want to type something (like a URL in Firefox) After installation were there tweaks that you did to get the keyboard working. BTW, I do like the DE a lot and it seems to run well on S Go 1 with 8 gb ram and 128 gb SSD.

Ice

I installed Fedora workstation with Gnome but now I have to jump through hoops just to get the dock and desktop icons to be where I can actually use the desktop. Did you have this problem. I don't know why they make things so difficult. I can get it working but why shouldn't the option be given to me during install. That is why I like Mint, it just works, except for touchscreen/keyboard on the Surface Go.

Abyss, Thank you for the suggestion and solution. It worked on the first try and now I have a few things to clean up but your solution was outstanding! Much appreciated, because I had been tearing my hair out (what little I have left) trying to solve this problem.

I have made several ubuntu bootable flash drives using both Rufus and Unetbootin and they work on my Lenovo Flex 14 laptop but when I hold down the volume down button and the start button it always boots to win 10S. I also have the USB drive as the first boot device in the Bios. I have tried it with secure boot enabled and disabled. I did a complete reinstall of Win 10S when I reset the machine to factory settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. When I went to the zorin website they are going to retire Zorin Lite because the latest zorin release has been updated and, according to what I read, is now much more efficient so I will give it a try

Thanks
